Recently we had Village of Hope as our Mission of the Month and we wanted to share some photos of the people receiving their Hope Packs! Here's the update from VOH: We are grateful for the funds that we received from CAC for the Food Packs for the community. We managed to purchase 185 food packs which include: Bar of soap (washing) Dishwasher 750ml bottle 10kg mealie meal... 2L cooking oil 500g beans 2kg sugar 2kg self raising flour 1 x candles (lighting) These things have gone a long way in helping the children in the community of Star and Beta Bricks. The Star Community got 126 of the hampers and Beta Bricks got the remainder. When we were doing the distribution, it was a joy to see the smiles from the children and the care givers. Indeed it made an impact and they are forever grateful for the help. #togetheronmission

I asked in class today what miracles the kids could tell me about. They listed off names of children that had had successful surgeries, children who had been he...aled, and children who had been adopted. Children whose files had moved in the system and children whose attitudes had changed.... This is why they know what a miracle is. They know how to pray.... may God keep their hearts tender. #lifeinanorphanage #houseofmiracles #whenchildrenpray

DON'T FORGET! If you sponsor a child from Mexico through CA Missions we would love for you to send a letter, postcard and/or picture of you and your family. The letter would arrive to the canyon in time for Christmas and will be translated into Spanish for your child to understand. Please note due to the cost of shipping we cannot send any gifts that won't fit into a small envelope.... Please submit your letters to Coquitlam Alliance Church by no later than Sunday, NOVEMBER 15TH. You can drop your letter off in-person to the Mariner Campus church office OR Mail your letter to: Coquitlam Alliance Church 2601 Spuraway Avenue Coquitlam, BC V3C 2C4 Additionally this year, due to COVID and trains being closed, many of the children are in need of warmer clothing! For the month of November we are focusing on Christmas Village which is happening in December. Christmas Village is an event geared towards helping families in our community with food hampers and gifts. You can make a financial donation which will go to purchasing food for the Christmas Hampers. In addition, you can donate new toys in original packaging for children and youth along with gift items for adults. Please note that no single toy/gift item should valued at more than $50. This week at VOH Zimbabwe we are celebrating Daniel, who graduated with a degree in Supply Chain Management. Daniel and his sister Pamela were two of the first ...children to come to our Village. Daniel has gone through school with dedication, always focused on the future. Seeing him graduate from University is monumental for him and us. We celebrate with him and wish him the best. Congratulations Daniel!
