We're returning to markets this week with lots of veggies and our new baby girl in tow! Come meet the little one and get some yummy leeks, roots, squash, potatoes, onions and more at: The Island Roots Market Wednesdays 3-6pm at Pleasant Valley Hall in Nanaimo And the Duncan Farmers Market Saturdays 10-2pm downtown Duncan.

We have a baby due at the end of the month, so we won't be at Farmers' Markets for awhile, but we still have lots of veggies (see list below)! You can get them through the Cow-op Online Market each week. Order anytime Friday-Tuesday and pick up in town Thursday. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here is what we've been up to all year...

We're still without power and it may be raining...yet we managed to get to market today. Hope you will too! This will be our last market until spring, so stock up now on storage onions, squash, potatoes, roots, and more! And yes...we have BRUSSEL'S SPROUTS!

We finally succeeded at getting our organically grown Brussel's sprouts sized up in time for Thanksgiving! These beauties have been growing since May! Now having experienced a frost this week the plants are happy, healthy and flavourful! We'll have lots of organic Brussel's sprouts on the stalk at the Duncan Farmers' Market tomorrow! Come and get 'em!

It may be sprinkling, but we've got lots of fresh organic veggies today! Hope you'll brave the rain and visit us at the Duncan Market!

Want access to fresh organic sunflower oil all year round? Join our CSA! Visit www.mannafarm.ca for more info. Don't be alarmed by the dark colour...this is simply residue from the seed hulls. Let the oil sit in your fridge overnight, and the black residue settles to the bottom as a sticky mass. Simply decant the oil from there.

We organically grow, hand harvest and process Red Fife, Khorasan (aka Kamut), Oats, Barley and Buckwheat. All CSA members have weekly access to the on-farm grain mill (for Manna Farm grains only), there is a flaker too!
