When you buy your @timhortons #smilecookies your money is helping W.E Care for Kids purchase a NICU Transport Incubator for Windsor Regional Hospital. It is used to transfer intubated infants between hospitals and procedures. Since September 10, 2019 the only transport incubator in Windsor Essex has been out of service. Currently, if an infant requires transport between hospitals, a team from outside our local healthcare system is required. Within our hospitals the transport of intubated infants for procedures is even riskier, a Respiratory Therapist manually bags the infant for the duration of the transport. Having pieces of equipment like this available for our healthcare teams can make all the difference in the recovery of our youngest patients. #SmileCookie weeks runs September 14 -20
