"We are at a really new moment in human history." Much of our work has climate at the core, so we've been following this ongoing discussion on transforming Newfoundland and Labrador's energy economy with Dr. Angela Carter closely. Big thanks to our volunteers Sage, Malach, and Niki, who helped us with sifting compost from the Humber Heights Community Compost this past weekend! We're so happy to have their help at our community gardens this Fall. Do you know a student interested in gaining volunteer experience in our gardens? Contact us at [email protected] to talk with Katie about volunteer opportunities.

The garden shed and some beds have arrived at the Caribou Road Community Garden site! A few of us will be putting the beds in place this morning, and then they can start to get filled with compost and soil. Hopefully gardeners will be able to start planting within a week or two. Hurray!
