Weddings to Bragg About

Thanks to my drear couple Sam and Sierra for these lovely photos and review: Julie Ann was everything that we were looking for in an officiant and more! My wife and I agreed that the most important part of our wedding day should be our ceremony. After struggling to find a queer friendly officiant in our area, I thankfully found Julie Ann in Bragg Creek. I found her website and saw that she had done LGBTQ2S+ weddings in the past which was such a relief for us. I was worried th...at once I told her we’d be getting married in Sylvan Lake she would find it too far of a trek but she was SO gracious about it! I had been so stressed about finding an officiant that was supportive and personable, when I talked to Julie Ann on the phone it was an absolute weight off of my shoulders. She spent an hour on the phone talking to me about our options and getting to know our story as a couple. I instantly knew that she was the person we wanted with us on our special day. Following our first chat, she was in constant communication to ensure that we were happy with our plans for the ceremony. We were able to meet in Calgary and both my wife and I felt so comfortable with her. She took so much time to learn about our lives and weave the most beautiful details throughout our ceremony. Leading up to the wedding, we would talk on the phone and we were all giddy about the upcoming ceremony. Our wedding went from being a 250 person wedding to an elopement and Julie Ann was so easy going about it. Nothing about our ceremony changed and the ceremony that she wrote for us just blew us all away. She arrived at the wedding venue and immediately got things in order, even bringing gorgeous flowers that she collected and arranged herself for the ceremony. It honestly felt like we had a close friend marrying us and that was the most special thing of all. She surprised us in the ceremony with a hand-fasting using 100 year old antique lace that she had brought for us which was stunning. After the ceremony she celebrated with us, took photos with us, and chatted with our families. Once we opened our gifts later that night, we found that she had gifted us some adorable pride themed items as well as beautiful note books. See more

There is such joy in my heart after marrying these two love birds. They have a lovely home down by the river it is a as a stunner. A perfect spot to say I do ! They are clearly so excited to be married, it was as an honour to marry this sweet couple from Bragg Creek. Congratulations S&G. @ Bragg Creek Flowers by the brides friend Tracy.

Finished all the table centre pieces for my peacock themed wedding today. Wishing the smoke wouldn’t be so thick.

Happy 40 th birthday. One for each year!

Of course Lake Minnewanka can be over run with people. So in this case we walked about 2 k to get to the exact right spot. I think we found it. Don’t you? It was gorgeous and intimate. Thankful always for my trusty heart runners. Congratulations to C&J. I hope you have a lovely honeymoon.
