During my journey to becoming an entrepreneur, I learned through trial and error and I wish I had engaged with a coach instead of wasting all that time and money. So, because of that, I’ve been working on ...putting together an 8week coaching program to teach people how to pivot from working in corporate to working online . I had nothing more to give to my family in the evenings because I was mentally exhausted after working all day I was overlooked for a promotion in favor of someone else, despite availing myself whenever I was needed I was disgusted by the measly increase I would get year after year because ‘the budget wouldn't allow for more’ I lost my job due to restructuring/change in corporate culture I was tired of the b******t! BUT NOW I dictate my own hours I work online for myself (and my family) I work around my family’s schedule I am location-independent I have a more balanced work-life I choose who I work with I’m happier and more fulfilled than I ever was! People have hopes and aspirations for themselves and usually know what they want. The issue with knowing what we want is that we often think we know what we need in order to get us there! What we all REALLY need to hear is: OPEN YOUR EYES and recognize who you are and what you have to offer!... Know that we ALL suffer from logical fallacies and we are terrible at foreseeing what will make us happy. Realise that what you THINK you need is rarely what you ACTUALLY need. Know that what you ACTUALLY need is often the thing that seems the most counterintuitive and/or scary and/or to which you are most averse. Recognize that we are ALL low-key addicted to or preoccupied with something and, like an alcoholic is obsessed with getting booze or a druggie with their next hit, healing and health is not in satisfying it, but rising above it. Know that the harder we are fighting to prove, get, or protect something, the MORE indicative it is that we need to relinquish it (not achieve it) in order to heal. (Note: this takes a great deal of emotional health and maturity, and many people never get there, out of fear.) Examine how YOU can contribute to a solution rather than asking for or expecting a solution from the outside world or other people. Learn to unwind WITHOUT escapism, drugs or alcohol. Instead, try the following: exercise, eat well, meditate. Repeat!
