I’m not crying, you’re crying . LONG but worth the read. We are changing lives over here AUTISM TESTIMONY I have a 13 year old son who is autistic. A friend of mine told me about these products so I thought I’d give them a try. I figured worse case scenario, money out of my pocket but no harm to my kiddo. Within the first week of my son using Gennisi I could see a difference. He’s always been very friendly but he was really trying to engage with others mor...e, wanting to have a conversation, making more eye contact and really being present for the conversation instead of walking away or day dreaming. His stemming consisted of chatter which was hard to understand at times because it was loud and he talked very fast. He is still loud at times but it went from 90% to probably 20% of the time and he speaks much slower so you can understand him. His stemming has decreased tremendously, it’s not as frequent and as I said before, we now have actual conversations instead of him repeating lines from his favorite movies. I used to have to pull conversation out of him just even asking what he would want for dinner. My son has also been going outside and doing physical activities ON HIS OWN!! Usually I would have to bribe him or force him outside, now he asks to go for walks, jump on the trampoline, play basketball. We tried sports with him when he was younger, hated every single one, came home yesterday with a sign up sheet for baseball and was excited to sign up. Last week we had our annual IEP meeting at school, the teachers were praising him about how well he had been doing in the last month, stemming decreased, melt downs decreased, confidence increased, participation in non preferred activities increased, and just an overall change. After I had heard all these remarkable things (other than what I noticed at home) I told them that my son had started taking this product a month prior to our meeting. One of the teachers had heard of this and was excited to see that it was real and really did help. As a parent you always want to see improvement, I was hoping it wasn’t all in my mind or that I was seeing more than was really there. A group of 5 educators made my mind up completely. The fact that none of them knew what we were doing but all had positive things to say about his personal growth and attitude towards both preferred and non preferred activities, made my heart so happy!! I feel that my baby has broken the lock on the box he was trapped in and feeling the light of the sun that he was so desperately trying to find. I’m crying as I write this, happy tears of course, the spark this has created for my whole family is amazing and priceless!
