Coffee is consumed by adults (ages 18-79) more than any other beverage, even tap water. Presenting a hospitable space for customers while they wait for their vehicles to be serviced contributes to higher CSI scores. Making these spaces digitally friendly by providing charging spaces, wifi, various seating arrangements as well as tasty beverages to suit customers work, and lounging preferences will boost the impressions made by your facility.
Art directly influences how people see and connect with a place, it slows pedestrian traffic and encourages the enjoyment of a space. It can teach history, cultures and perspectives, reinforcing social connectivity with others. It can state a brand's purpose, defines a company’s reason for being, beyond making a profit which boils down to greater customer loyalty and satisfaction.
The need for borders is a primal one for humans. Design is forever pushing forward, and often this entails fewer walls, a more open and minimal aesthetic. But borders create subconscious decisions. Do I stay, am I safe and therefore comfortable? Borders do not have to be fences or walls. They can be as simple as a change in material that signal to a customer 'welcome', 'wait here', 'work here', 'wander this way'.

We are in the age of acceleration. Faster, more efficient then ever before. A recent study focusing on the constant acceleration of modern life by @randcorporation discusses a paradox that human nature loves speed; and so we build race cars, roller coasters, jet airplanes but that we aren't really built for it so we also experience whip lash, motion sickness and jet lag. In today's world, answers are expected faster and speed begets speed leaving most feeling trapped in a cycle. Providing a balance between stimulation and quiet is what the study concludes is healthy for human nature but in our experience is also the backbone of great design and respectful interactions. How does your facility handle the ever changing technologies and expectations of this era?
Why are there so many flooring materials in your dealership? Why do tiles get laid with the grain facing a certain direction or why is joint spacing is such a mandated item? The short answer is communication. Each material selected and the placement it is assigned to, is conveying a non-verbal message. Leading lines in wood grains, softer materials or warmer tones, lead the eye and foot and assist in setting up the atmosphere. These also maintain consistency in brand image down to the smallest detail.

Our inner child is stirred. Many who choose architecture or design as a career path get their start playing with Lego, including a number of our team members. This design created for LEGO Masters Australia in collaboration with Honda Australia
