It is official. LCdr Reilly has received his promotion. He did not think he would ever grow to such heights. And yet. Here we are. Congratulation Sir. . . A big thank you from the team goes out to Private Zelenco for taking her personal time teaching us about winter survival. Pictured here is Capt. Petrini's A frame. We’re ready for winter. .... . And. We had a visit from Lt Col Leonard, CO of Ontario. And his 2IC, CWO Godabout. Who presented Challenge Coins to the Corps. Congratulations to Chief Leach for being a role model. Congratulations to SLt Cotterill for his outstanding dependability. And congratulations to CI Sherwood for her contributions during the transition to online activities. #BRAVOZULU 358. . . #caf #dnd #cco #cadetscanada #navyleague #navyleagueontario #seacadets #seacadetscanada See more

MARKSMANSHIP TRAINING DAY (VIRTUAL) - SATURDAY 21 NOV 2020 (9am-noon) This Saturday, we will be hosting a virtual marksmanship day. This is geared towards our first and second year cadets. While we wont be able to conduct an actual shooting range, we still need to go over safety and procedures before a cadet can step foot on the range. This will be a great way to learn about the cadet marksmanship program. All cadets are welcome!... DRESS: Civilians LINK: https://www.google.com/url REQUIREMENTS: Space to lay on your stomach for a brief part of the training www.wellandcanalseacadets.com

ATTN: Please make sure you've emailed your fitness test results to your DPOs and have attempted to complete the beep test portion on your own time. You have a month to do that, so by Dec 8th all results must be emailed to your DPOs. For everyone who wasn't in attendance for sports night, you must complete the fitness test on your time, including having attempted the beep test. If you have questions, direct them to your DPOs, not anyone else.... I say again, deadline is Dec 8th. Thank you. A/Slt Brauweiler

Help us wish our CO Goodbye. It's a fond farewell, but a farewell just the same. Last week Lt(N) Reilly was offered a role higher up the chain, and he gladly accepted.... 358 SIR ISAAC BROCK will never be the same. Lt(N) Reilly has been a driving force behind 358 from day one. His charm, wit, and long standing commitment to the aims of the CCO have brought us together. It is our duty now to carry on. Thank you for your drive Sir, thank you for your dedication, and most importantly, thank you for your sense of humor and upbeat attitude on even the bad days. You have made all the difference, and we're going to be proud to say we know you as you carry on in your career. Lt(N) Reilly will be receiving an official promotion to Lieutenant Commander (LCdr) very shortly, and in the interim will prepare the unit for it's next leader. #BravoZulu #358family #investinyourself

The Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers HQ remains committed to ensuring that Canadian youth have access to challenging and unique experiences focused on leaders...hip, citizenship, healthy living and stimulating interest in sea, land, and air activities of the Canadian Armed Forces. We recognize that there may be a lot of questions about summer 2021, but the quick answer is we do not know exactly what summer 2021 will look like. We are planning for all scenarios so we can offer the best experiences to our Program participants. Some of the options we are currently exploring include: Cadet Activity Programs (CAP) during spring break and the summer, virtual courses, hybrid courses (some virtual and in-person components), and in-person CTC courses. All options are subject to change based on the continually evolving situation. We are planning to offer in-person CTC courses, if the situation allows, but it won’t look the same as we were used to. We will be adjusting to be able to adhere to local PHMs and guidelines. The planning priority will be placed on courses that effect the capability of providing quality localized training programs. As we continue to explore an array of options to offer experiences without compromising the safety of the cadets and staff, you can anticipate seeing regular updates about the summer 2021 situation and are encouraged to visit https://www.canada.ca//cad/summer-training/summer2021.html regularly for updates.
