As a talking circle/mediator, it's easy to set a boundary every day, seven days a week. ... So what boundary are you willing to set for yourself, that you can uphold? You may notice that when you start setting boundaries, your family/friend circles will or may judge you, because they won’t be used to it..find a healthy support person to help you get through that stage and journalling helps as well. Help is always from the inside: We may deal with worries, fears, should I or shouldn’t I? That’s okay! Just don’t let it consume your day or affect your relationships today. Set time aside: I set some time to think about all mine for a certain amount of time, like 15 minutes, then I stop and I look up and breathe.... Step 10 of 12 on how to love yourself: Do Mirror Work. Look into your eyes often. Express this growing sense of love you have for yourself. Forgive yourself while looking into the mirror. Talk to your parents while looking into the mirror. Forgive them, too. At least once a day, say, "I love you, I really love you!"... What kind of fuel does your body need in order to have optimum energy and vitality? Learn about exercise. What kind of exercise do you enjoy? Cherish and revere the temple you live in. Sometimes we question at how we look and we compare ourselves with others. It’s okay, start loving yourself, by looking in the mirror and saying, I love you (your name). Once you get the hang of this routine, everything else will fall into place, exercising and moving your body, being more careful with what you eat or drink or put into your body.. smoking; drinking and/or drug use will no longer be a crutch. 12 Ways You Can Love Yourself Now Learn helpful tips for self-love. Step 8 of 12:... 8. Be Loving to Your Negatives. Acknowledge that you created them to fulfill a need. Now you are finding new, positive ways to fulfill those needs. So lovingly release the old negative patterns. Journalling helps.. or just jot down your negative thoughts and the negative pattern(s) they caused.. mine for example was I’m too fat, no one will accept me!, this led me to start an eating disorder for years! Gently tear the notes you wrote down and lovingly release them.. they don’t serve you or your purpose anymore. Affirm: I will always love myself!
