On the Twelfth Day... It is 2021! Happy New Year!!... I know that traditionally the 12th day starts on Dec 25th and ends on January 6th, the Epiphany. For WellnessCorner’s 12 Days of Health and Wellness, today is the last day. This is also the day many set their yearly resolutions. But a resolution without a plan will likely not go anywhere. Some tips to finding success after setting your resolution: - Keep it simple - pick one thing to focus on. - Understand the change you want to make. Are there resources? - Set yourself up for success. Gather everything you will need. - Use an affirmation. - Use a tracking and/or reminder system to stay on track. There are many options from tracking on paper to apps. - Expect diversion or failure. Acknowledge it and get back on track. - Celebrate your successes and plan rewards along the way. If you aren’t a fan of setting a resolution here are some other ideas for achieving your priorities for 2021: - Create a bucket list for the year. - Choose a themed focus for each month, or every 3 months (quarterly). - Take a 30 Day Challenge each month. - Choose a word of the year. Whether you set a resolution or choose another option to follow for self-improvement, using a tracking system is a good way to stay on track and measure your progress. To start your year strong, grab the trackers and 30-Day Challenges from the link in the bio :) How about you? Do you set resolutions? Do you have another way to start of a new year? How do you plan to follow it through? Wishing you good health, contentment, and prosperity for 2021 <3 xo Rosalie #12daysofchristmas #12daysofhealth #12daysofwellness #Healthyish #balancedlife #balancedlifestyle #gratefulfor #gethealthynow #8020rule #8020 #8020Lifestyle #familyvalues #valuesmatter #corevalues #wellnesscorner #justforthehealthofit

On the Eleventh Day... We had a safe and healthy New Year's Eve! It's finally time to say goodbye to 2020.... Before you kick it out the door take a few minutes to reflect back. Write your thoughts down if that's helpful. For me, 2020 highlighted that being flexible and adaptable makes life a little less stressful. It has also given me some time to think about the direction I'd really like to be heading. Changes won't happen overnight but I can start taking the steps to move towards the things I want. While remaining flexible and ready to adapt, of course. What was your biggest takeaway from 2020? xo Rosalie #Reflecting #FindGratitude #Farewell2020 #ItsNotMeItsYou #12daysofchristmas #12daysofhealth #12daysofwellness #Healthyish #balancedlife #balancedlifestyle #gratefulfor #gethealthynow #8020rule #8020 #8020Lifestyle #familyvalues #valuesmatter #corevalues #wellnesscorner #justforthehealthofit

On the Tenth Day... We got some zzzzz's! The holiday season can be exhausting.... Long days of decorating, shopping, wrapping, preparing big meals. And many nights of staying up later than usual. Plan to get a good night's sleep tonight. Sleep plays an important role when it comes to your physical health. It also plays an important role in brain function and emotional wellbeing. Physically, sleep helps combat heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke. Mentally, sleep helps your brain process and retain information. And, of course, it helps you to be more alert and improve reaction time. An adult needs about 7 - 8 hours a night for your body to recover and repair, and get your body and brain ready for the next day. Children and teens need more sleep for proper development. I have night owl tendencies, living in an early bird world. Better sleep is an area of improvement I need to focus on in the new year! Do you, like a lot of people, struggle to get enough sleep in general? Wishing you a good night's sleep! xo Rosalie #sleepcounts #sleepisimportant #sleepisimportanttoo #sleepisimportantforgoodhealth #12daysofchristmas #12daysofhealth #12daysofwellness #Healthyish #balancedlife #balancedlifestyle #gratefulfor #gethealthynow #8020rule #8020 #8020Lifestyle #familyvalues #valuesmatter #corevalues #wellnesscorner #justforthehealthofit

On the Ninth Day... Give back. Generally speaking, most everyone reading this post is very fortunate, despite the challenges this year has thrown at us, and has had a good Christmas holiday season. ... Even with the challenges from Covid, there was likely good food, connecting with family and friends, either in person or remotely, and some presents. But there are many people and families who don't have these things. And this is normal for them, day after day, and year after year. Giving to others who are less fortunate is a great way to shift perspective and help us realize what we do have. If you have the resources, there are many wonderful charities that can use financial donations to keep doing their work. Donating new or like-new items you don't use is a great way to help clear out the clutter and help others. I try to do this several times a year. There are environmental organizations working tirelessly to clean up our planet. Deciding where to donate, whether it's your money, items, or time, will help you also solidify your and your family's values. For those of you with children, get them involved in choosing and actively supporting something that is meaningful to you all. It's a great way to teach them about having empathy for others, our environment and our impact on it, as well as various social factors the world is constantly facing. My main charity of choice is one where my monthly donations help children in underdeveloped and developing countries stay in school. How about you? Do you already donate or volunteer regularly? If you do, what’s your charity of choice? xo Rosalie #GivingBackMatters #CharityInspo #GiveBackThisYear #12daysofchristmas #12daysofhealth #12daysofwellness #Healthyish #balancedlife #balancedlifestyle #gratefulfor #gethealthynow #8020rule #8020 #8020Lifestyle #familyvalues #valuesmatter #corevalues #wellnesscorner #justforthehealthofit

On the Eighth Day... It's likely a stat holiday for you which makes it's a great day to spend binge-watching some favourite movies! There are so many options now to watch just about anything at any time.... I have a few pre-recorded Christmas movies and some that I have just been meaning to watch.
