Repeat after me: I am stronger than I think. My vulnerability is my strength. Self-compassion is my super power.... I am safe, supported, guided and loved. I am exactly where I’m meant to be in my journey. Which affirmation resonates with you the most? Let me know in the comments. Now, more than ever, we must take up space. It’s not the time - nor has it ever been - to play it small, shrink and hide away. I know how comfortable it can be to numb, disconnect and dim our shine. I spent years doing it.... Excessively consuming drugs and alcohol, shitty media, crappy food and limiting ideas, just so I could stay safe. Stay stuck. Stay on autopilot. I still visit this familiar - albeit hindering - place from time to time. But lately, it feels less soothing and more suffocating. I think it’s my spirit waking up and saying NO. . . . It’s time for YES. , ’ - , . . . . . . . We need more light-makers, healers and real-talkers than ever before. We’re being called to step up to the plate. Feel the pain and suffering within and around us. Work through it. And help others to work through it. Because, as Gandhi once said, Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of (insert higher power belief) that is within us. Breathe deep. Roll your shoulders back and down. Stand tall. Take up space. . . . . #expansion #expandingconsciousness #perspective #growth #healing #selfhealers #mentalhealth #mindfulness #healthylifestyle #balance #addiction #recovery #selfcare #yogini #yogateacher #mentalhealthspeaker #community #torontoyogis #torontomentalhealth See more

What if you already had everything you’ve ever wanted? What if you were exactly the person you’ve always wanted to be? What if you attained that sense of peace you’ve been striving for, for so long? I’m learning and doing my best to embody something really potent and true: - - , . We are needing of nothing. We are overflowing with all. ... Won’t you join me on this quest to focus on what we already have and who we already are (we are enough). Shifting from a neediness, a desperation, a mindset of lack into the heart of abundance, gratitude and expansiveness. Because this...this is how we bring more bountifulness our way. Big words. Challenging at times. So worth the to stand in it. My cup is overflowing with gratitude for the life I’m leading, the people in it and the work I get to do. Today and every day I give thanks for my health, my love @cshold, my family @aidddan @mccaffreyhilary @philippamccaffrey, my best friend @clairecoleski and so many other gems who inspire me to be the kindest, most authentic version of myself. I’m thankful for the healing work I get to do as a Yoga Teacher, and for the many students who’ve taught me more than they kn...ow. And, I’m truly thankful for my mental health journey, and the power of resilience, honesty and support. I’m grateful for so much. Sometimes my yoga practice feels expansive, peaceful and fulfilling. Other times it feels painful, uncomfortable and unsettling. And such is life, plus all the grey areas that pave the way to acceptance and growth. I feel heavy with the loss of life in this world, due to mental illness, COVID, the straight up murder of people in the BIPOC community and countless other things.... And, I also feel immensely grateful. For my health. My support network. The self-compassion pieces that have taken up residence in my heart. For the human beings who are speaking up, taking action and doing their part in the call to empower people to be kinder, wiser and more honest. I feel both. And feeling both is what is allowing me to find the middle ground here. To come to a more balanced perspective, that makes room for both darkness and light. With this...with the work towards holding both realities, both truths in my hands, I’m finding more peace. . . . . @brspix #growth #acceptance #peace #selfawareness #selfacceptance #mentalhealth #mentalillness #suicideawarenessmonth #bipoclivesmatter #recovery #covid #covidthoughts #yoga #toronto #torontoyoga #torontoyogateacher #yogateacher #health #mindfulness #wellness #fitness See more
