The sweetest little guy you ever did see! Where has the time gone?! Our "littlest-little" is now a sitter - 6 months old already!

I cleaned out my garden this morning ahead of the storm heading our way tonight. My "littles" came by for a quick photo with the last of the summer flowers.

Daddy's Hands: When you are just days away from your very first birthday the world can be an exciting place, but also one that is a bit scary. Visiting a photography studio that you don't remember seeing before and having a person with a mask covering her face try to take your picture can be really intimidating. I find it so incredibly sweet, that even at this young of an age, this gorgeous princess knows that she is safe when holding her daddy's hands, and that knowledge makes the world seem not quite so scary anymore.

Every day I change my mind on what age I like best. Today it is 5 months old - Isn't he just the sweetest little ginger baby you ever did see?! (I couldn't decide if I preferred the colour or black and white version so I am sharing both :)

Vintage baby.) Sometimes things (a pandemic, for example) prevent you from getting your baby's newborn photos taken. While the first few weeks are definitely the best for sweet curly poses, with a little patience, beautiful photos are possible at any age! This gorgeous baby doll was 10 weeks old when this photo was taken. PS- I have the most beautiful vintage wardrobe collection for older babies and I love getting the change to use pieces from it in my photos!

How has it been two years already since this magical time?! Wishing the happiest of anniversaries to two of my own :).

Is there anything sweeter?

A real live baby doll (AKA the beautiful little miss Lauren). Her newborn photoshoot had to be cancelled due to corona virus closures. Ten weeks later, she made the trip to my studio for her long awaited session. (I think she had been practicing because she was the perfect little dream baby model.)

A little birdie told me that this little princess is three years old today! (Where has the time gone?!- It seems like such a short time ago that we had the nicest visit for her newborn photos.) Wishing you the happiest of birthdays beautiful girl. xo.

My beautiful friend Heidi recently graduated from Mount St. Vincent University (with a BA in Child and Youth Studies - smarty pants got honours!) and wanted to incorporate some traditional items in her graduation portraits to pay tribute to her Inuit heritage. The beautiful seal skin sash was hand made by a cousin in Labrador, and the gorgeous blue netted necklace by another cousin. The embroidered belt (It was her grandmother's- I was afraid to touch it!) and brooch, are also symbolic of her home in Labrador and hold treasured memories of her grandparents. How very special to add such touching layers of history and love into her beautiful photographs?!
