It's FINALLY 2021! As I watched the first sunrise of 2021 (one of my favourite perks of #alcoholfreelife ), I reflected on the highs and lows that were 2020, but mostly celebrated the unexpected joy that was there in all of last year’s ordinary days. COVID has brought great stress & anxiety, but it’s also brought board games, daily salt air walks, and movie marathons with my teens, incredible new coaching and business connections (thank you, @zoom ) and tons of... other surprising gifts (no-knead bread Dutch oven bread, anyone?) Being more present in my life allows me to notice these little joys and I promise you they are always there, even on the crappiest of days. Slow down and get more present in your life in 2021. This feels undeniably true to me. Like I spent the first 40 years of my life being everything I thought I should be and now I get to shed layer after layer and become everything I want and need to be. Anyone else feeling this or am I just losing it in this pandemic? ... (Which is, btw, totally possible. 2020 is starting to get OLD, and I am spending A LOT of time in my own head)
