As a proud Canadian company, MYC celebrates Canada Music Week, which is an initiative of the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Associations (CFMTA). For 60 years, Canada Music Week has helped to spotlight Canadian music by supporting composers and performers of Canadian music.

The students are paying it forward, raising money for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Students will collect pledges for all of the minutes they practice over next three weeks.

A big thank you to my studio families and to Sheryl Hung for moving online to lower our risk during the extended Public Health Order in BC.

Sharing in honour of my former life as a choral conductor. St Cecelia’s day was always part of my calendar year back than and this piece might have been my first introduction to the patron saint of music thanks to Garth MacFee. Enjoy this stunning performance.
