Two weeks is grace enough to hear something from the newly elected government with respect to initiating their plans. The first question I am going to challenge... Kenney on is the UCP plan to 'eliminate' the carbon tax. (His choice of word, not mine.) Eliminate is defined online as to remove, get rid of, put an end to, do away with, end, stop, terminate, eradicate, destroy, annihilate, stamp out, wipe out, or extinguish. Again to quote Kenney, The Carbon Tax Repeal Act would scrap the tax on everything, creating 6,000 jobs. He goes on to say, The party plans to replace the tax with a program targeting large emitters of greenhouse gases. Now we see "everything" is not everything. The new tax program would be renamed and titled Technology Innovation and Emissions Reductions, or TIER. How is that eliminating? Do people think by changing a name it's eliminating? That applies in law with what's called a technicality. Are Alberta voters happy they were had with a play on words? My question is, in this context are not tax and program the same thing? And if not, how do they differ? Clearly large emitters of greenhouse gases supply downstream users. Are some people so foolish to think the downstream users won't pay the associated tax/TIER? There were enough dubious concerns with scandals and fraud going into this election with the UCP. They now need to rise and be held accountable for their claims.

Good morning, I would like to start off by congratulating Mr. Wilson on winning last nights election. However I will not be disappearing, I will continue to grow the awareness of the Alberta Advantage Party over the next 4 years. This was an amazing learning experience for myself and all the other candidates we have, we are blessed to have the great supporters that we do. Good morning everyone. Today is the day that you can have your voice and do what is right for our great province. I will be heading to the polls with my family later today. My family knows that it’s not in the best interest to vote party colour, however it is better to vote for the person who will represent the people the best. Win or lose, I will continue to serve the people of this great province.
