Happy National Child Day! This day each year, since 1993, has been celebrated as the day to commemorate the United Nations' adoption of the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989). These documents and this day are to commit in upholding the opportunity for children's voice be heard, to commit to the protection of their livelihood and to commit to respecting and sustaining their rights to ...reach their full potential. At Family Place, fostering play and connection are just some of the ways we are committed to championing children's rights. Thank to the community of families and services for collaborating and supporting us with this continued endeavor.
