Westbow Construction is a rapidly expanding construction and development company located in Chilliwack, BC. Over the last 5 years we have built and sold over 500 homes in the BC and Saskatchewan markets. Westbow is looking for hard working individuals that are excited by a fast paced environment and growth. You will be also working with Westbow’s subsidiary company KGH Equipment Ltd (KGH). The KGH arm of Westbow is responsible for land development and site prep as well as civ...il contracts primarily within the Fraser Valley. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of the land development process. Responsible to ensure that all newly purchased land is zoned, subdivided, and serviced in a timely and efficient manner. Tasks include: - Schedule property developments and keep key personnel accountable to timelines (i.e. Engineers, Surveyors, City Staff, Westbow team members) - Provide development and servicing budgets and schedules for projects - Work with Construction and Design departments on feasibility study of potential new projects - Find required engineers and professionals to partner with on new developments - Co-ordinate with Design department on new project layouts, zoning requirements and design details - Work with City Staff to get approvals of subdivisions and rezoning - Tender and award contracts to engineers and contractors as required - Coordinate smooth transition on new projects from property development to construction Project Managers - Co-ordinate with City Staff, Lawyers, Surveyors and Engineers to ensure development needs are understood and completed - Manage project servicing to get designs created and ensure that quality product is completed to required specifications and on time ROLE COMPETENCIES - Cultural fit with Westbow’s Core Values - Highly organized and detail oriented - Ability to hold others and yourself accountable to deadlines QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - Experience in city planning and/or civil servicing considered an asset
