Trowel, Hawk, Knife. The original tools of the trade. Machine tools are cool and convenient, but they can break down, as machines do. Being a master of the hand tools is a must in my books! Theyre versatile and always reliable.

It never fails. Im cleaning my tools on my front lawn and one of the neighbors, or a passerby asks me "What the heck are those things?" And no matter how many times Ive explained what they are and what they do, I always do it all over again. Its actually far from annoying. Its enjoyable. In the trade, were the select few that know what a bazooka, or a flat box or a mud pump are, and how they work. So I take the opportunity to educate people on what it is that I do, and h...ow. Why? Because I love my job, Im proud of my work and I love people! And if someone learns something new from me, and has a good experience with me, its another win.
