Attention all alumni in Hong Kong!! Western Alumni Hong Kong is excited to support the Terry Fox Run Hong Kong again this year!! We want YOU to join us for this annual fun run to support cancer research. Due to the global pandemic, the event will be converted into a virtual run this year! That means you can run or walk your own route anywhere you like over the month for this very important cause, while staying active and maintaining our health!! ... Registration starts on November 7th and you can do 3, 5, 10km as usual over a month. This year, we're also adding 42km and 143km. 42km is the daily distance Terry ran and 143km relates to the # of days Terry ran in the Marathon of Hope. As always the run is all inclusive, everyone, no matter their physical ability or age is welcome. No minimum donation is required. Registration details as followed: Terry Fox Run Hong Kong 2020 Date: 7 November (Sat) to 6 December (Sun) Time: 00:00 hrs to 23:59 hrs How to register: 1. Download the MOVE app on Google Play or Apple Store. 2. Login to the MOVE app by creating a new account or logging in to an existing LIV3LY account. 3. It is recommended to select Allow all the time if you would like the MOVE app to track your run at all times. 4. Open the menu and select Virtual Run. 5. Go to The Terry Fox Virtual Run Hong Kong and click REGISTER NOW. 6. View virtual run details and click REGISTER NOW. 7. Select the category and fill up your personal details. 8. No payment is required and a confirmation email by LIV3LY will be sent to you upon successful registration. Attention fellow Alumni in Asia!! Our annual OFF TO WESTERN event is back! Due to the pandemic worldwide, it will be our first ever virtual event covering East Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, etc.) Refer to the link below for details and registration. Fellow Alumni in Hong Kong, we realize the challenges faced by many of you during these times. Our primary role as an alumni group is to embrace our shared connection and love for the school. We do this mainly through gatherings to meet and network with those in our region. Since the pandemic, our ability to do so has been hindered but we will continue to help support you through other means. We would like to proudly share a great initiative by our alumni member: Nathan Ho (...BA'08, EMBA'16) in Hong Kong. His company BEI VITA (www.beivita.com) will be launching a 5-week campaign called "FUTURE OF WORK", a series of digital learning experiences with the aim to address mental health and wellness. Given that May is deemed 'Mental Health Awareness Month', we would like to stand by this initiative and support him. ********* Nathan's first digital session will be hosting MasterShare with another fellow alumni, his twin brother, Julian Alexander Ho (BA '08 Honours Spec. Kinesiology).
