I'm kicking off this week full of pride and gratitude. Bits N Buckles opened for the first time on September 5th of 2005 a Tack shop in Rutherford. I opened on our farm converting an old barn into my store so I could raise my boys and be there before and after school while making a living. Once all my boys were off to high school I moved the store to Petrolia. First stop by renting a window with large displays of product for 6 months to feel the market out. With great feedba...ck and weekly sales from a window, I decided to rent a small space in an empty building for the holiday season. With a sales goal and a dream I opened October thru December. We doubled our target and searched for a large space to rent, with that achieved we officially opened January 1 2013 . By then we had grown adding boots, clothes, leather goods,giftware, hats, belts and more. I knew we had found home in Petrolia and I needed to make it permanent. I bought the building our current location 4207 Petrolia Line in 2014 the journey transitioned into just western no tack or horse related product. As the markets changed we stepped up to the challenge and traditioned again specializing in just boots in late 2018. Changing our name to Western Boot Corral in 2019. 2020 has been challenging for all, and we are determined to ride to the bell. But today is all were promised. I am celebrating the journey, the memories and all the good we have enjoyed and tried to give back to this community. I am happy and grateful for 15 years See more

TIP!! It was suggested to me to add a drop of peppermint essential oil to the inside of your mask before wearing. I have been doing this for weeks now and find it makes a big difference... the research discovered that: -peppermint helps to relieve headaches (masks cause many people to have headaches)... -peppermint oil has mild antimicrobial properties (I’m not suggesting it works against COVID, but it’s not going to hurt!) -peppermint oil is a scent that’s cool and refreshing (for this reason alone, is why I put a few drops in my mask). It’s a mood enhancer and makes breathing with something covering your nose and mouth a little easier! Hope some of you will try this and get a little relief. Open today thru Saturday 10-3:00
