Continuing Dental Education is pleased to introduce you to our new Academic Lead. Dr. Les Kalman is an educator, researcher and the academic lead for Continuing Dental Education. His research focuses on innovations in medical devices and technologies. He has published over 40 articles, holds two patents, a trademark and has translated several technologies to industry. He has served on many boards and has been recognized as an Academic Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Fellow, Master and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration, the Schulich Alumni of Distinction award and has received the Merck Patients First award. These are exciting times at CDE with upcoming developments and innovative changes.

We are going virtual! Join us for our first Zoom webinar this Friday with the Category 1 course titled "Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office: Are You Ready?" with Dr. Peter Nkansah. More courses are coming soon!

On advice from Western University and in consultation with the local Middlesex-London Health Unit, all CDE courses until and including May 1 are being postponed. In abundance of caution, Western University is cancelling classes from Friday, March 13 through Tuesday, March 17. This includes the PLA Prep lectures scheduled for March 13 & 14. Currently all other courses are still scheduled. However, this unprecedented situation is very dynamic. We will endeavor to contact our course participants as soon as possible should future cancellations occur. We thank you for your understanding during this time.
