Today seems like a fitting day to post a warm sunset pic. This stretch from Christmas to January is a tricky one, isn't it? The thrill of Christmas Day has passed, and we're heading towards a quiet NYE. It's always a bit of a struggle to keep the mood upbeat, but even more so this year. Today I'm reflecting on some of the things I'm thankful for in 2020. Good health, chickens that provide us with eggs, our good dog Louis, the schools the kids attend, the new job Dave started this year, a great family vacation in the summer...and that's just a start, of course! I'm so thankful for the people I've met through my work! What a joy to connect with so many of you! It's one part of flower farming that I love and I can't wait to see you again next spring!

Isn't this beautiful? My mother in law made it for us (ok, mostly me ) and I finally had it framed, and now it hangs on our wall. I love it so much! ....for the details, and the fact that she patiently worked on it for 2 years! I've never had the stick-to-it-iveness to complete anything like this! Thank you @berniebarbvanraalte for this beautiful gift!

Yesterday these girls were the first ones out the door and probably the last ones in at dusk! They're happiest when free to explore, even when it's -7 C. Their sisters on the other hand, look out at the snow with disdain But they all keep supplying us with (almost) an egg a day , so we're thankful for that!
