Just before Christmas, U11 hockey player Chris Wanzuk received his Rangers' jersey from Coach Jason. Chris and all his teammates are excited to wear their brand new Westfort jerseys when they get back on the ice in the New Year. The new jerseys were purchased using funding generously provided by Superior Shores Gaming Centre. Westfort Hockey Association encourages everyone to stay home and stay safe so we can all get back to all the things we love!!!

Dear Westfort Hockey Families, We hope that all are doing well and are preparing for an enjoyable holiday. The executive at Westfort would like to send out a couple messages to all of our players and families as we head into the Christmas break. First and foremost, we would like to thank all players, coaches, volunteers, and parents for the work that they have put in so far to help give our kids the opportunity to get back on the ice. This season has been very challengi...ng so far with all the various COVID-19 protocols, and it has taken the effort of all involved to help provide an on ice program for our players. As most of you are aware, the province announced yesterday that we in Northern Ontario will be moving into a 14 day lockdown as of December 26th. As unfortunate as this is, we are all going to have to do our part in following the provincial and public health guidelines. Going forward into the Christmas break all on and off ice programming for every Westfort team will be paused from December 26th to January 9th. We are hoping that this will be the only pause to our season. However, as information becomes available from our local hockey governing body we will update all teams. Again, we would like to thank you all for the effort put forth to date. We hope that all of our players and families have a safe and happy holiday season. Sincerely, Westfort Executive

ATTN U11AA and U13AA skaters: With the closure of the FWFN arena as of today, the following changes have been made to the LMHL schedule for tomorrow. Please share this in hopes that we reach all participants with this necessary change on such short notice.
