In an effort to stay vigilant with COVID guidelines at the arenas, we are reminding all families that they may only have ONE spectator per child. (If you are on the bench or running the timeclock than you are permitted one additional spectator) Upon arrival to the arena, you will be required to check-in your child, as well as yourself on the sign-in sheet. If there are additional family members with you, you will not be permitted to enter. If we find this being abused, your child will be removed from the ice and sent home. Please be respectful of the guidelines so that we may continue our season.

As you all know, this year has brought many challenges to Minor Hockey. None the less, we continue to push forward the best we can to provide a fun and successful season on the ice. Unfortunately, not being able to run tournaments has created a gap in the funding we use to offset our annual fees. This year, we have decided to do something a little different. We are preparing to setup for the second session, which starts Nov.26 and runs until January 27th. (This includes a 1 week break for the Christmas holidays). ... 2020-2021 Registration The September 15 deadline for registration is fast approaching. For those families still wishing to register your children for this season, please visit our registration page to do so. We will be running in 8 week bocks this season and monitoring COVID-19 protocol along the way.... The first 8 week block will start in October and run through November. The cost will be as per below: Payment options are provided in lump sum and monthly payments starting Oct.1st. The one time fee of $65 will be charged in addition to the Oct.1-Nov.30 fee Initiation $200 U8 minor novice $200 U9 Novice $200 U11 Atom $250 U13 PeeWee $250 U15 Bantam $250 U18 Midget $250

West Grey Minor Hockey To our Warrior Families; On behalf of the executive, we would like to thank you for your patience as we navigate these unprecedented times. Under the direction of the OHF and OMHA we will be working closely with both the Grey Bruce Health Unit and the Municipality of West Grey on a plan to return to hockey... that ensures the safety of our players and their families. This plan must be submitted to and approved by the OMHA prior to anyone permitted on the ice. At this time we are unsure if we are going to be able to offer a Women’s Hockey program until we receive further information from the OWHA and the WOAA. Girls are encouraged to register with the OMHA Program, and we will try to develop Teams and ‘Bubbles’ accordingly. Our plan is to offer programing in blocks of 8-week intervals. This will allow participants to register at later dates. We are currently working with the Municipality to determine what the facility requirements are and the associated costs in order to provide accurate registration fees. Fees will be collected on a monthly basis, amount to be determined very soon. We would ask that all Parents/Guardians register your child as soon as possible so we can accurately determine registration numbers, costs, and our return to play guidelines in order to receive approvals. Deadline for Registration will be September 15th, 2020. Fees will not be collected until costs are determined and registrants will be made aware. What we know right now based on the OHF guidelines is as follows: https://www.omha.net/covid-19 https://www.ohf.on.ca/ri/return-to-hockey-covid-19-response A wellness check form will be required for all participants every time they enter the building. More details will follow as we get closer to start up There will be no tryouts. There will be a minimum of a 2-week development phase at which players will be evaluated and teams will be created Teams will be placed in ‘Bubbles’ of no more than 50 players within our association, or neighbouring associations in the same Public Health Unit No Rep or Select teams Teams will consist of a maximum of 10 players; 9 skaters and 1 goalie, along with 1 coach and 1 trainer We will most likely play 3 on 3 format, but it will depend on the numbers at each level Please keep in mind that this is a fluid situation and as we proceed through the stages, rules may change as per OHF guidelines. Hockey will look quite different for the 2020/2021 season but the important thing is there will be hockey! As long as it is safe! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions.
