As many of you are already aware, the provincial government announced today that they are moving London Middlesex region to level RED of the the province's Covid-19 response framework as of Monday December 14. Our Executive Board are meeting to discuss the impact these updated restrictions will have on our current programs. We will update our membership shortly as to how we will move forward. Thank you for your patience everyone.
****UPDATE TO NEW ORANGE SPECTATOR RESTRICTIONS - NOW ALLOWING ONE SPECTATOR PER PLAYER UNDER AGE OF 18**** It was announced yesterday that the City of London modified spectator restrictions as a direct impact from London Middlesex moving to Orange/Restrict phase. The City of London has since further reviewed their policy and have made an amendment which will now return to the similar guidelines as we experienced while in both Green and Yellow phase allowing one spectator per... player under the age of 18. Our apologies for the inconvenience and please disregard any messaging communicated yesterday. See updated messaging from the City of London: "It has come to our attention that the Provincial Government has recently clarified the age at which a participant can have a parent or guardian in attendance at their sporting activity. This is recent information and unfortunately came after our research and recent policy change. Therefore we will be increasing the age to under 18 at which a participant may have one parent or guardian attend our facilities to follow the provincial regulations as stated below. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused." Sincerely, Scott Stafford Managing Director of Parks and Recreation. This article has been viewed 0 times.
Move to Orange/Restrict Level Impacts Spectators At Arenas The province has moved the Middlesex London Health Unit to stage Orange-Restrict within the reopening framework effective Monday December 7, 2020. Unfortunately, this change has a direct impact on the involvement of spectators within our city arenas. Please see new City of London protocols listed below:... 1. Only parents/guardians of children under the age of 10 will be permitted to spectate from within the arena in the designated spectator area. One per player 2. Parent/Guardians at ages over the age of 10 will be permitted to enter the arena to assist their child to get ready but must leave the arena after they have assisted their child and are not permitted to spectate. Parents/Guardians may return at the conclusion of the ice time to re-enter the arena to help them get undressed. It is very important that we all do our part to control the spread of COVID-19 within our community and avoid us moving to the red stage. If you or your child is feeling unwell please stay home, wear a mask at all times within the arena until going on the ice and sanitize your hands when you enter the arena.
