On Canada Day, we also remember and honour the sacrifice made on July 1st, 1916 by so many in the Newfoundland Regiment during the battle of Beaumont Hamel. See more

We ask for your patience as we want to ensure that everything runs smoothly and is in the best interest of our residents. We will have a more detailed update for you in the next day or so regarding visitation times, guidelines, etc. This info will be posted here on our Face...book page and we'll also be reaching out to all family members by phone. Happy Victoria Day! We hope everyone had a safe and fun long weekend. Do you know why Victoria Day is a holiday? HISTORY Canada shares some fun facts here: bit.ly/2LAYSRN
During National Nursing Week, we want to send out a heartfelt 'thank you' to all of the nurses out there working day and night to take care of their communities. The theme this year is 'Nurses: A Voice to Lead Nursing the World to Health'. The theme was developed by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) to showcase how nurses are central to addressing a wide range of health challenges. 2020 has also been designated 'Year of the Nurse and Midwife' by The World Health Organization (WHO) in honour of the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingales birth.
Your family is our family.
We had a lovely Mother's Day weekend here at Westmount Estates. Since families couldn't be physically present, we wanted to do something extra special for all of the incredible ladies here on behalf of their loved ones. Our lady residents were treated to a special meal stuffed beef tenderloin, sautéed carrots, and mashed potatoes in our decorated dining area, homemade cupcakes, and a spa day gift voucher to have their hair and nails done at a date of their choosing. We had lots of video calls and window visits with families! Loved ones also dropped off cards and sent in photos of special moments making the day complete
While many families cannot physically be together today, we wanted to share this album of special moments (sent in by resident families) to honour all of our incredible ladies here at Westmount Estates and celebrate them as Mothers, Daughters, Sisters, Friends, and all that they are! Happy Mother's Day to our residents, staff, and all the amazing women out there!
With safety approval, we have implemented a dropbox outside our entrance so that loved ones can drop off Mother's Day cards! *Cards only, please* we will not be able to deliver packages. Card drop-offs must be done outside the hours of 10am12pm and 24pm (unless it's raining ) as that's when our property restriction is on so that residents can safely get outside and enjoy a walk or some fresh air.
We are planning a very special Mother's Day this weekend for our residents on behalf of their families and loved ones! (We will be sharing photos following this weekend). Please note: we're currently unable to accept any deliveries or drop-offs for safety reasons (this includes gifts, flowers, food, etc.). All residents requests for personal items are filled weekly by our approved vendors or by our team.
