Pet Obesity is a growing problem. While estimates vary, up to 56% of cats in the United States are overweight! The situation isn’t much better for dogs, with an estimated 60% of dogs being overweight. Being overweight is one thing. Being obese is another! Studies have shown that of those pets classified as overweight, 27-39% of cats and 20% of dogs are obese. A little bit of extra weight on your pet can make a big difference: just shy of 2 YEARS LESS TIME WITH YOUR PET, with more disease and pain! Dogs in this study were slightly overweight, not obese. Today I had my ovariohysterectomy and I came through surgery like a superstar! A big thank you to Dr. Matt and my nurse Dee for all the great care! Love you guys but I am ready to go home with my mom!
