ONE MORE SLEEP TO CHAMPIONSHIP DAY! Tomorrow, Saturday March 7th, is championship day at Weston Lions Arena! The festivities will include an award ceremony, our infamous chuck-a-puck, food and beverages for our players, and more! Check our website for scheduled game times, and see you there!

AGM POSTPONED Our Annual General Meeting that was to take place on Tuesday May 5th at 7:00 p.m. has been postoned. Once we are able to determine an appropriate time to reschedule, we will let everyone know. Stay well everyone!

We know you love the fries at Weston Lions Arena, but did you know that the Snack Bar is run by volunteers and that all the proceeds go back to help our local community? While the ice at the rink has now melted and the French fryer is unplugged, the Weston Lions Club has donated $10,000 to Weston Area Emergency Support (WAES), our local food bank, thanks in part to our Weston Minor families support of the Lions Snack Bar! The Weston Lions Club thanks you and they can’t wait to be serving up those famous fries again next season!

Join our amazing team of board members, coaches, and volunteers! Our Annual General Meeting for the 2020-2021 season has been scheduled for Tuesday May 5th at 7pm upstairs at Weston Arena. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. This meeting will provide you with information about the league and the Executive will be chosen for our 2020-2021 season. ... We are looking for new members as we have a number of positions to fill. Please consider one of the positions and offer your time which can be as little as a couple of hours per month. Any member of the current executive would be happy to discuss any roles you may be interested in. Further information about the Executive positions can be found on our website by clicking to our Constitution. We would like to thank all those volunteers who helped us with our 2019-2020 season and hope to see you again next year!

Congratulations Minor Novice Dodgers! Well, they were at it again! Our youngest select team participated in the Vaughan JJ Glazer Memorial tournament this weekend, and came home with silver medals! Congratulations on a great job representing Weston! Go Dodgers!!!

Weston Minor was represented today at the GTHLHockey Transition Game Summit by our league president Lesley Bannard and 1st VP Mike Panacci. The Transition Game Summit aims to create an open discussion and address issues facing minor hockey and the culture of youth sport. #thetransitiongame

WESTON SMALL FRIES UPDATE Due to circumstances beyond our control we have made the difficult decision to postpone the start date of our Small Fries Hockey program to Saturday, October 26th. Please be assured that the development portion of our Small Fries program will still be 10 weeks and all players will join our House League program as planned on January 11, 2020.... We have rescheduled our equipment pick up for Thursday October 24th at Weston Lions Arena Upstairs Hall between 7 and 8 p.m. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. We are as disappointed as I'm sure you are and look forward to welcoming you on October 26th.

In order for your child to be eligible to play hockey, a new concussion awareness program, Rowan's Law, has been mandated by the Province of Ontario. HOUSE LEAGUE AT WESTON STARTS THIS SATURDAY! Saturday game and Sunday practice schedules have been posted to our website. Please bring your child during their scheduled birth year.
