What a terrific week it's been at WESTPARK ELEMENTARY. Our "Bring Back the Rainbows" fundraiser this past Wednesday was amazing! Thanks to the TERRIFIC idea brought forward by Prisha, Sydney & Grace in Grade 5 - WESTPARK collected $1217.95 for the LAKESHORE GENERAL HOSPITAL - thank you all for your generous support for our frontline workers in the West Island. Proud to be apart of such a caring community

Our Grade 6's welcomed back Kim Edwards who hosted our first ever virtual Dare to Care "Modified Take the Time Assembly". Our students have met the Dare to Care team of professionals and are now getting ready to jump into the afternoon break-out sessions online.

MOVED TO TOMORROW - Wednesday, Feb. 17th - is now our NEW DATE of our "BRING BACK THE RAINBOWS" Fundraiser... We won't let a SNOW DAY stop our colourful day -- RAINBOWS TOMORROW, Westpark !!! Today of Grade 4's celebrated "Valentine's Day" with their very own 'Dress Up Day' - we had boutonnières and corsages across the grade level! Nothing sharper than dresses, ties and even a 3-piece suit among the stylish students throughout the 2nd floor! The spirit was alive and we were dressed to the nines! Remember that Tuesday is our student-driven fundraiser - "Brink Back the Rainbows" in support of the Lakeshore General Hospital - wear your fun and colourful clothes... what a great idea that originated from three of our very own grade 5 students!

Aujourd'hui, nos élèves de deuxième année célèbrent le 100e jour d'école. Ils sont habillés comme des personnes âgées et font toutes les activités autour du chiffre 100. Que se passe-t-il ensuite ? Peut-être une sieste en début d'après-midi et un jeu de bingo amusant... LOL !

Since 2006, the MacDonald Campus of McGill University has been hosting a Remembrance Day Ceremony at the University Campus in Ste Anne’s. The ceremony is held annually and is organized in partnership with John Abbott College and MacDonald HS. Veterans from the Ste Anne’s Hospital are the special guests of honour.

UPDATE: Elf & Mensch News from Last Week... Le jeudi, 10 décembre, Guimauve et Mensch Michael sentaient mauvais!!!! Ils ont pété toute la nuit! Le vendredi, 11 décembre, Guimauve et Mensch Michael ont mangé des biscuits...les élèves voulaient mangé des biscuits aussi!!!

Hallowe'en was full on today at Westpark - costumes a-plenty, decorated doors & classrooms and all the little things that made the day special for everyone! What a way to celebrate together...
