The "Jewel" is here!! Come check out the Gene Simmons Bicycle Display! Made by our friends at Angel Chopper Bicycle Club! ... Info about Bike: July 23rd, 2011. Angels Chopper Bicycle Club - AC/BC presents "The Jewel" to Gene, Shannon, Nick and Sophie at the View Royal Casino in Victoria BC. The build team consisted of 4 young members - Sophia Harrington (12,) Tony Harrington (9,) Gavin O'Driscoll (11,) and Thomas Haywood (16.) They spent over 150 hours designing and building this dedication chopper bicycle for Gene Simmons and Family and with the help of their sponsors and mentors, they were able to get the bike finished just in time! Their hard work paid off when they were invited to present the bike to the family on stage in front of thousands. Gene, Shannon, Nick and Sophie were very inviting, friendly, supportive and fun for the kids creating a memory the kids will never forget! Sophia presented Gene with a photo album of the build along with a personal letter to him and his family. Angels Chopper Bicycle Club - AC/BC is a club for kids by kids. The mission statement includes keeping kids active both physically and mentally providing opportunities, mentorship and support. "Changing the world, one kid at a time!" Wow... It's time!! Our first RC DRIFT event is on! Today (Sat 05 Jan 2013) From 2PM to 7PM Come check it out!... Cost: Spectators are free! Drivers $10 (Proceeds goto the Eagle Ridge Community Center) For the Indoor flyers (of all kinds) The rink will be open Sun 06 Jan 2013 From 8AM to 11AM Cost: Spectators are free! come check it out! Just to let everyone know, Westshore RC Hobbies has booked the indoor dry floor facility for use starting 05 Jan 2013. January Schedule: Saturdays (05,12,19 and 26th) From 2 PM to 7 PM, and... Sundays (6, 13, 20th) From 8 Am to 11 AM. This will be open to the public with a $10.00 entry fee, with the proceeds going to the Eagle Ridge Community Center. It looks like we will be starting off with indoor flying and possible AFX Slot Car racing! (Still working on the Cars and Trucks Setup) As we are just starting with this event, we are still working on the details and ways to protect the rink from marks and such. We will have to restrict these events to electric RC's for indoor use. We are looking forward to providing our customers and the public a fun place to enjoy and get into the RC hobby! Come check it out and we incourage feedback to make it fun for everyone! I will be posting updates as I get them. Cheers! Brian
