With the amalgamation being official every town will have a representative to be the community coordinator for the town they represent. Stacey Lynn Munroe has stepped up to take on this task for Westville. She is very passionate on community hockey and is one of the most ambitious volunteers I've ever met. With the amalgamation being newly put together there will be kinks that get worked out over the next year but I assure you with Stacey as your representative players will s...till be very proud to put on their miners jersey. Hello everyone, Today's vote was 45-36 in favour of the amalgamation. Not what everyone wanted but it is now officially what's going to happen. Westville miners will still exist it will just be governed by one association with all the other towns. That being said, I truly believe we have opportunity to set up one of the best minor hockey associations in Nova Scotia. ... I am part of the new executive as "on ice community coordinator" witch means dealing with all aspects to do with hockey played out of all the towns, B and C. We will also be getting a representative for each town to work directly with the town they represent. Costs are going up 50-150$ depending on what division the child plays in but please consider costs were needing to be raised whether or not the amalgamation happened. We will send out info about our closing AGM very soon as we have been waiting for confirmation of what the 2016/2017 plans would be. Any questions anyone has please feel free to ask. Just to provide a quick update. Today at the pcmha agm the amalgamation was voted on and was a yes. Troy Kelly was voted in as new president and myself and several others from various communities were voted in as members of the new executive. I will get more details out to everyone later today. Know this, community hockey will still exist and the Westville miners will still be our hockey in Westville. Thanks Daniel Thompson

Hello, I just wanted to provide notice on Facebook for anyone who did not receive a email concerning the amalgamation meeting. The PICTOU COUNTY MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, August 27th at 9AM at the Trenton Rink.... The proposed amalgamation will be voted by the membership (all associations/towns) at this meeting. All the information concerning the amalgamation can be viewed on pcmha website. We encourage everyone to attend the AGM to place your vote. These changes affect everyone in all levels of hockey in Pictou county.
