With the COVID-19 pandemic, we hope you and your families are all staying safe and healthy! Here are some of the safety measures we have enforced to ensure we at the Pharmacy are also staying as safe and healthy as possible: - Limiting your time in the Pharmacy, we ask that if you drop off a prescription or need refills, please do not wait in-store. Wait in your car, come back later or the next day. ... - Get your Doctor’s office to fax us your prescription. This helps decrease exposure to the virus. - Phone in your refills and speak to us in person, or leave us a message. - If possible, please give us a day before coming in to pick up your prescription. Stock deliveries are being limited, medications are shorted, and this helps ensure that your order gets filled before you pick up. - To help reduce medication shortages, the Alberta Government has implemented 30 day refills to ensure everyone's health needs are met. (Unless a shorter limit is specified by your doctor) - We have suspended all injections & stocking fittings at this time. Unfortunately, we have no masks, gloves, alcohol swabs, or other protective equipment which are essential to provide these services. The Health Unit or your Doctor’s office may be able to help you in regards to vaccines or injections. - We have a green line on our floor we ask you to stand behind for social distancing, we also have installed Plexiglas protective barriers to reduce close face to face contact. - Increased cleaning measures by wiping all counters, door handles, debit machines, and high touch areas with disinfectant wipes multiple times throughout our day. - Reducing Deliveries to limit potential transmission and exposure. - We encourage you to pay by Debit or Credit Card to reduce the handling and transferring of money. - We will not handle or re-use your empty pill bottles. - We will not be accepting old/unused medications at this time. Please keep them in a safe place at home until we are able to accept them again. - If you are feeling unwell or are unsure of your symptoms, do not come into the Pharmacy. Phone us, we will be more than happy to help as best we can over the phone.
