We finally have a few moments to catch our breath from a wonderful holiday season! So many great and wonderful things took place...where to start?! To start, Santa made a quick virtual stop at BWRH on Dec 24th, to deliver gifts to each resident. I'm telling you, being one of Santa's elves is one of life's greatest blessings. It was truly wonderful and so much fun!! We couldn't have done this without the support of Santa's many elves, so thank you to each person who contributed

With 2021 less than a few hours away, we want to extend best wishes to our residents and their families, staff and their families, and the community for the upcoming year. We are so incredibly lucky to have such a strong support system, that inspires and energized each and everyday. Although we may not know what the future holds, we can be sure that will continue to embrace each day, find opportunities for our residents to enjoy, and we will continue to be diligent with our ...Infection Prevention and Control efforts. We sent 2020 off with a BANG, with the help of Ken Clarke and a few Zurich Fire Department firefighters. Thank you Curtis Regier, Derek Rader, Doug Finlay, Mitch Finlay. A special thanks and shout out to firework planner extraordinaire, Jordan Jeffrey, so pulling all the details together and making our vision come to life! Thank you to all the community members who watched the fireworks show with us. The residents loved looking out the windows and seeing the cars lined up along the road! Thank you to Ben Geiger for the use of your field...that was a tremendous help to have a safe spot to light up the show! Thank you to all those who made monetary donations. We really appreciate your generosity and kindness. On behalf of Blue Water Rest Home, we wish you all a safe, healthy and memorable new year.

September 12th and 13th, BWRH celebrated our Grandma's and Grandpa's with a Grandparent's Day Parade. Resident's were showered with love from the overwhelming support of their families. We want to extend our gratitude and thanks to all the generations of families that came out to support. From the signs, smiling faces hanging out the windows, blasting of favourite music, balloons and decorations, you made each one of us (staff included) feel your love and appreciation for your special person. The smiles on our Grandma's and Grandpa's faces continued long after you were gone! #GrandparentsDay2020
