Gramma wasn't always old

Friday the 30th was my "last day of summer". Yes I finally got to the end of my summer list of customers wanting to get their rides in. Time to catch up on some office work before I get any deeper into the list of "no rush" jobs, aka winter work. The line up for winter is already looking busy as my customers are learning to get some bigger jobs done before the spring panic hits on that first sunny day. After a tough morning of road testing various motorcycles, I am taking the rest of the day off to mark a milestone of life. At least I'm not fkn 90.

I delivered newspapers as a kid. It didn't pay very much but I saved for years. Bought my first motorcycle at 12 years old for a hundred bucks. It was a Honda CT70 and yes, I had that look. Still do!

Stop and Go tire plug kit for tubeless tires. A handy little tool that actually works as good as they advertise. Needing it once can pay for itself and could potentially save the day when out for a rip! Or at least make you a hero like it did me lol. Give me a call, I can get you a kit.

Coincidence? Fate? Who knows but here's a tale from our recent trip. When we pulled into the ferry lineup leaving Nanaimo we were probably 15 bikes back. I noticed a guy at the front of the line kind of staring at me but I did not recognize him. Once on the ferry he approached me and here's a guy from my hometown who I first met about 45 years ago. To make the story shorter, it turned out he was having a flat tire as we spoke. Did I mention it was tubeless? Oh yeah. I hav...e been packing a little tire plug kit for a few years, never needing it myself. Anyway, 10 minutes later there's a good mushroom head plug in and it holds air. Success! But wait; just as we are docking he comes to us with news that the tire is going flat. We got off the boat and pulled into the parking lot for the Village of Horseshoe Bay. Inspection found that it was another hole that had been poorly plugged the day before. 10 minutes later again and he was on his way. Now you are wondering how far you can go on a plug. This guy rode from the ferry to the Okanagan, up to Falkland and back, then to Creston and back to the valley. This morning he headed back to the Island where he lives. Another "never leave home without it" item. PS I can supply you with this cool tool! I will post a video. See more

We are back from our little holiday and getting back to "business as usual". PS the Shovelheads were a pleasure to ride as always. We even had a rider tell us that they are the second and third best-looking Harleys he had seen lol. OK back to work. Call me if your HD has any needs. 250 488 9904 Daryl
