When Animals Need A Voice

Well it been sometime since I've been writing on this page , some new thoughts have come to my world , I know all of you that visit here are big hearted animal lovers . I would call you HCAL...... This stands for hard core Animal lovers . You know as a group we can come together in a way and change the course of this world . We want to change how animals are treated . The most powerful thing we do is waste our is power of thought . Instead of thinking oh that poor little abu...sed dog or cat, or cage chicken, what if our thoughts were completely positive. I'm telling you it will change the world of these little and gigantic creatures. Just by sending love to them and ok I know it's a tough one but their abusers. For like it or not we are all connected, one planet one world one thought. I challenge you all to try this.it will change you and that will change our world for the good of all gods creatures great and small. See more

To my dear friend Linda , who had the courage and love to Honour he dear friend Shakespeare , in life and transition to new life. He blessed his family with his love and light .As you can all see he was a red head , we know that means trouble , never met one who wasn't , but some trouble is the best kind , you know like the trouble that leads to great self-discovery and good adventure. Happy spring to all of you human and other wise . I am greatfull to report spring has dawned on the prairies,and I have been enchanted, Every where I look life is blooming . The trees are in leaf , grass is growing . Flower gardens are awakening. I see Canadian geese nesting at the side of the road. It's all brand new , it's always been my favorite time of the year, it kind of always makes me feel like no matter what life throws our way , There's always a chance for a new beg...inning. I think by far the most beautiful thing about spring, is the birds.it's as if they're there every day to remind us of how much joy there is in the world, they sing no matter what the weather, I can't imagine a world without them.I guess I'm writing this to remind myself and all of us not to take all our feathered friends for granted . From the tiniest song bird to the largest raptor. They add so many layers of beauty to our precious magical, world . Just a reminder for all animals need a voice ! Let's talk about pet foods , I suppose I shouldn't be shocked or surprised , yet I am. With all the animals that have died at the hands of greedy pet food companies. Animal lovers please wake up and smell the coffee . This is not a new thing it is happened so many times. You know that thing your mom told you if it's too good to be true it probably is. Good nutrition does not come from one package for us. So why do we expect it to come out of the bag for our cats and dogs. Don...'t just go to the store and Buy pet foods . If you must buy premade foods for your dogs and cats. Please people do your research. Stay away from the very large corporations that do pet food. Instead search out the smaller Canadian companies. Find out if they've ever had any pet food recalls and why. This whole thing makes me so angry. Please let's not be those stupid consumers , that the companies are looking for. I'm not sure what year it was. But when I was still in the petfood business. There was over 800 recalls on different dog and cat foods for various reasons. Basically what it boils down to. Is the amount of toxic crap, put into our animals foods. Was so over-the-top it was enough to kill them. They talking things like melamine to raise the content of the protein,cat foods were found to contain aspirin , we know this is poison to our cats. . I know how deeply you all love your critters ... please go that extra miles for them, They deserve it. I know I'm a huge advocate for raw feeding. If that doesn't suit you think about cooking food for them. Making it in a large batch and freezing it is an option. Hello all , it's been two weeks since my Sophie girl left me for that happy place were treats are plenty and puppy play is all that matters . It was a beautiful Journey from start to Finnish . Eighteen long years she graced me with her presents . She was a joy to be with. I love all dogs and critters for that matter . People always say this was a special Dog ... Please know this they are all special Dogs. Everyone of them perfect . Large or small , fluffy or short furred . Th...ey all commit 110% to only keeping us in that lovely place of tail wagging happy joy place . They only no love . How amazing is that . If I could change any thing about my self it would be ( try to be the person who loves with the heart of a dog ) So in the memory of all those very special Dogs I Challenge all that read this post to embrace your inner Dog heart . Next time you feel the need to get angry, miss trust, feel scared of life . Judge somebody. Go to your happy joy place and feel your inner dog heart . Your choice of course . See more

A hudge thank you to Dr Dave MacDonald at comox valley animal hospital for caring and helping my Sophie girl. She had a large infected tick bite , I had tried other routes to get rid of it, but failed . When visiting the comox valley we were told about Dr Dave . Got an apt to see him, he took one look at the problem. He said we should take it off , I agreed , because Sophie is 18 years old now , putting her under anesthetic .. This is what the wise Dr Dave did. He froze the spot then removed it . She is doing so much better . Now I have two Heroes , Dr Dave MacDonald and of course and foremost my sweet Sophie girl (my Dog ) I also want to thank his lovely helper Mary Anne , she was fantastic .

Just want to talk a little about . How much joy critters bring to our lives . I can say speaking from my tip toes to my big hair . For me they are the best , joy meter I've ever had . By that comment I mean . Their fun loving hearts and adventurous spirit. Is By far to this date The best example I have in the world for joy. It comes so natural to them. It almost makes me envious. But how can you be envious of something so perfectly beautiful. So I just enjoy it and relish and it. And feel blessed. Thank you universe for all the furry and feathered and other creatures here on this planet.

Good evening animal care givers, I want to shed some light on those animals who find them self homeless . Because of kindness and hard work of many rescue groups-they become adopted into new loving homes. . This task of looking after an animal that has been dumped is not for the faint of heart . It takes time and a hole lota patients . Nothing worth while in life comes easy . If you decide to help a rescued animal it's wise to have a group of animal lover friends to just be there to bounce things off . But when things start to get better for your little rescue friend . Be prepared to feel a hole pile of love from this creature. . All I can say is what a beautiful feeling knowing the difference you have made for one lost soul. . Who knows perhaps you are the one who will be rescued in the end .

Cat treats Fresh hearts Cut in small chunks Serve fresh

Homemade dog treats Fresh turkey or chicken or beef hearts . A few cloves of fresh garlic chopped Olive oil Place hearts on cookie sheet ... Drizzle lightly with olive oil Add garlic and stir hearts make sure all hearts have some oil on them . Slow roast hearts at 225 until hearts are cooked . Store hearts in fridge in covered container . Feed as needed , they will love them . And it's real food. . And a healthy food aswell . See more

Hi all just want to talk a little about what our dogs and cats need , to be happy . It's simple really no special secrets . They need love and commitment . This mean always thinking about what their needs will be on a daily basis . First fresh air and a walk . Nourishment ... Real food is best . Water . A safe place to be when we can't be with them. They give us so. Much let's return the favour . The cats that stay indoors . Please I get that u are doing this for a reason , ...but All living things need sunlight to be healthy . So perhaps a walking harness or a fenced in space , so the kitties can be out at times. People think cats hate water. . I have two cats that live with me they both stay out in stormy weather . They love the wind , I think it makes them feel alive to watch the wind blowing the trees around . Please find away to stimulate indoor kitties , it's a healthy part of life. For the mentall health . I get up this morning to find my old girl Sophie is no where to be found. . The back door open to a fenced yard . Seconds later she barking loud. I look through the glass front door . I let her in . Apparently she's found a way out. . Lol I think she had a great little walk about adventure . A wise girl that Sophie . At 17 I'm so pleased she's still here to hang out with me .

Hi all just want to tell you a little about Soda .He is that handsome boy in this pic.He lived with me and my critters for the summer .I miss him dearly. We fostered him thru new bark dog rescue.What a warm loving guy.You know that old saying,he wore his heart on his sleve.WELL IS Sodas case he has a giant black heart in furr on his side .ALL HEART THATS soda.This pic shows a morning cuddle with me .The happy news is he is living with a rockin family down island.Over 10 acres to romp.This makes me happy.
