Whippet Club of BC 22.11.2020

Our one and only 2020 agility trial is now a wrap! Thank you to everyone who worked to make it a safe, fun, and efficient event! We had an amazing crew of volunteers this weekend, but extra shout-out to our Trial Secretary, Sheila; Master Course Builder, Hildi; Task Master and People Wrangler (unofficial title ), Sarah; plus our Judges, Sandi and Kirsten. Courses were built in record speed and we managed to end on time or early all three days. Linda won Sandi's Judge's Choice Award and I (Aaryn) somehow won Kirsten's We are already cooking up our April 2021 trial and maybe even some mini-trials and fun match(es) throughout the year. We couldn't have CKC Agility in the Okanagan without all of your help and commitment to showing up. THANK YOU!

THANK YOU to everyone who made our Lure Coursing trials a success this weekend! The terrain was tough and unforgiving, so rest up those tired paws and safe travels to everyone heading home. So many people stepped up to help field clerk, release dogs, encourage newer folks, and so on. Special shout-outs to Fiona for organizing the whole weekend; our judges, John and Pat for lure coursing, and Laurel for conformation; Marion and Ivy for their trial secretary magic; Thom, Ed, an...d Bert for operating the lure and keeping the dogs safe; Piet for being our huntsmaster extraordinaire; David and Emma for re-stringing over and over and over and over and - you get the idea; the Berlins for their famous jam sale that everyone looks forward to... and again, to everyone else who stepped in and stepped up and all of the competitors for coming out. See you next year! See more
