We could all use a little summer time warmth today / (even if we like northern winters!)

Can a chicken look grateful? We think so! These hens are grateful for YOU; our customers that buy our products and tell their friends to buy our products. Because (yes, I started a sentence with 'because') when you buy from us, we turn those $$ around to our animals to ensure that they have the best lives we can give them. Take the new covered run we built in December for our layers as an example. This run has allowed them so much extra protected space to flap their wings a...nd cluck about. In weather like we are currently experiencing, this is a huge benefit to maintaining the overall health and wellness of our flock. I took this picture yesterday. I'd say at -35C, the hens look fairly indifferent to that frigid of a temperature. Content clucking, dust bathing, and overflowing egg baskets speak volumes. Today looks like it's going to be grey and cold again...the (relative) warmth not arriving for another week or so. Hang in there friends, remember what you're made of and that we're on the march towards spring at this point. Maybe this picture will help to bring you some warmth?
