Rob Boyd Bursary Nominations deadline Monday, April 20th Athletes, if you haven’t nominated a teammate, do it now! Deadline is fast approaching. Please email the WMSC Bursaries Committee at [email protected] This is the Second Year of The ‘Rob Boyd Bursary’ which is awarded annually, to the next seasons U18 athletes, making current 2nd year U16’s eligible for the award as well.... 1 female and 1 male athlete will be awarded $1000 each, which will be credited towards their WMSC account. In time, as the fund grows, additional bursaries may be awarded. Candidates should embody the ‘WMSC Teamship Values’ and include (but not limited to): Passion for the sport ski racing as well as knowledge/skills/desire to ski all aspects of the mountains. Sportsmanship showing positive attitude, assisting fellow athletes and appreciation for officials/volunteers (on or off the slopes). Be a role model/mentor/ambassador for the sport (yet perhaps have a bit of a wild side?!?). Work ethic arrive early, stay late (to take one or two more runs off piste?), show a willingness to assist coaches, collect/transport training equipment and gear when necessary Show potential and desire to be successful in racing, and when appropriate, give back to the sport. Nominations should be submitted by teammates or coaches directly to the WMSC Bursaries Committee at [email protected] explaining why the individual should be considered for this award. Submissions should be in letter form and include anecdotes or examples that exemplify the individuals’ character and/or actions deserving of recognition and support.

Volunteer Now for the FIS BC Cup GS, Super G and Parsons Memorial Downhill Race (February 29 - March 8) We especially need course workers and slip crew. There... will be GS races Saturday and Sunday February 29 and March 1, Super G Monday and Tuesday March 2 and 3rd and Downhill Thursday March 5th to Sunday March 8th. Please email [email protected] with your available dates for these FIS races! All volunteers are invited to a casual dinner with athletes and coaches at the WMSC cabin on Tuesday March 3rd.

I wanted to show that I was back and that I was healthy. After missing all of 2018-19, Mollie Jepsen made a statement at her first IPC Para Alpine World Cup race series of the season.

This past weekend Nathan Romanin wrapped up the Panorama FIS series with back 2 back wins! They also happened to be the first wins of his FIS career. He shared the podium with Tait Jordanon Saturday and on Sunday it was a BCST sweep with Tait in second and Gerrit in third

Mollie Jepsen and Mac Marcoux with Guide Tristan Rodgers continue to exceed expectations and stood atop the podium again today in the giant slalom . Alexis Guimond who was on the podium two of the last three days, finished in 2nd spot . It was a successful hardware hunt today for BCST alumni Brodie Seger and current BCST member Asher Jordan. Brodie picked up bronze in the overall while Asher finished as the third junior. Men’s racing moves over to Stowe tomorrow for two more GS races.
