The pool will have adjusted swim times on Monday August 3rd for the holiday. We will be open from 1:30-5:00 for family/youth swim. Have a great long weekend everyone :)
Registration for swimming lessons starts tomorrow! We will be open from 8-4, please follow physical distancing protocols while at our facility. Just a reminder that all preschool lessons and swim kids levels 1-3 will require a parent/guardian to be in the lesson with the child. We look forward to seeing you!! Opening day July.2nd, Please see our other post for the schedule from July 2nd-5th as it is different due to swimming lessons starting on the 6th
Lumby Pool Opening! We have been very busy trying to open the pool for the public while still following physical distancing guidelines. The pool is aiming for an opening date of July 2nd, we will be sure to keep the public updated on any changes from this date. For the time being, the Lumby Pool will open for lap swims, swimming lessons, swim club, aqua fit, a family swim and a youth (11yrs.-17yrs.) swim; all of these are subject to change if it appears that physical distanci...ng is not being followed. The pool and lesson schedule will be released Monday once they have been finalized, with swimming lesson registration opening Tuesday. This year for swimming lessons all children in preschool levels and swim kids levels 1-3 will require a parent/guardian 16 years or older to be in the pool with them. This is to ensure instructor/public safety and to provide a contactless swimming lesson. We appreciate your patience at this time and are excited to see you once we open! See more

#ThrowbackThursday Did you know Lumby’s Salmon Trail was officially opened in June of 2006? Jack Hockey’s CBSS Grade 12 Forestry Program students pose on one of seven benches they built for the Salmon Trail. (Photo Credit: Lumby Museum) ... **The Museum is looking for help identifying the boys in the picture, so their names can be added in their records** The trail initiative began in 2003 when Huguette Beaudin-Allen submitted a proposal to the Softwood Industry Community Economic Adjustment Initiative. A grant of $340,000.00 was awarded and further funding came from various sources, including the Weyerhaeuser Canada legacy fund.
