You can now book your virtual or in-person private appointment for White Rabbit through our website We are a cozy, intimate space, so for the time being we do not have public open hours. Instead, we are offering easy to book private in-store and virtual appointments.

The current state of entropy at White Rabbit. Placing product, boxes everywhere, too many ideas and we finally have shelves. AND We have set an official date of opening (for reals this time, I promise): October 2 the one year anniversary of the original White Rabbit shop.... When we open we will be offering private in store AND virtual appointments, both which will be available to book easily through our website (where you can also cruise these wares). Locally you will be able to do curb side pick up or we can deliver. (For everywhere else, we offer shipping). We will also be introducing a gifting service to make your life that much easier More sneak peeks to come, thank you for the incredible support. It means more than you know. I can’t wait to see you.

Over the last ten weeks, I have spent a lot of time thinking about what my vision and intention of White Rabbit is, and how that can exist on the other side of the pandemic. This week, Alberta launched their guidelines on how shops can reopen. Safety and precautions are the priority and I could not agree more with this sentiment. Wanting White Rabbit to be the idea that I have envisioned for decades, I have concerns. First, being that we wouldn’t be re-opening, we would be o...pening. Opening our doors for the first time, during a pandemic. It doesn’t feel right. I’m not sure that the intention of what White Rabbit embodies aligns with the expectations and protocols of what is needed during this time. Under the new guidelines, we are asked to ensure that people enter and exit retail spaces quickly for flow, which makes sense; however, this hurried style of service doesn’t sit well with me. When I tested this concept in October 2019, the space was to be something you absorb and experience. I wanted people to come in and spend hours in the space if they wanted to do so, stories would be shared about the makers and artists, you could hang out in the back and have tea, we could play music, read tarot, and so on... It was a space that was intended to have my guests experience the art within to its fullest. So, with this in mind, we will not be opening our doors when retail is allowed to safely open in Calgary. White Rabbit is not just a shop, it’s my studio. So, the shop will be treated like a private showroom and gallery. In efforts to keep the original intention of White Rabbit in tact, we will however be scheduling private shop appointments that won't be rushed and will be safe. More details coming. I read recently read that the uncomfortable feeling we are collectively feeling is grief. That makes sense, as we look at what our new normal is and hurt for the loss of being with our people and gathering with our community. . . Initially, being in White Rabbit and my studio had been heart breaking as we were so close to opening and then abruptly having to postpone. When I’d come in to grab essentials or supplies it would crush me to look at the space that was frozen in time... from our open house where so many people came out and supported us. . . Now, three weeks into isolation and with many more weeks to go, my thoughts have started to shift in to ideas and action. This space is looking like potential and opportunity to create and thrive. I can’t wait to share this with you when we come out on the other side of this. In the meantime we will be putting some wares together as home kits that can be delivered or picked up (both contactless). This Friday we are opening our doors during the @nvrlnd.yyc Open House for anyone that wants to see the progress we’re making on the space. We are probably 80% done and will have things for you to cruise, but are also holding some surprises back for our real opening in April. We will be here 5-10 and would love to see you.
