Just got the best application I think I’ve ever seen from an old Ems colleague/friend: I’d like to apply for the HD mechanic position please! I have no experience not training. None. History has shown I have a very limited knowledge base for the modern combustion engine and it’s components. But I’m very fluent in engine noises. Can reproduce any sound with or without a French Canadian accent. ... I live nowhere near your service area but I consider this an asset. I am excellent at interacting with people, sometimes. Specifically if food is provided...I’m highly snack motivated carbs especially, and sodium and chocolate...but of course. I’m terrible at being a salesperson, I prefer to render services for free, as long as I’m paid. Naturally. I excel at working out of a truck, flashing lights and sirens a requirement. I work well under pressure and with little sleep. I am wonderfully equipped to work with little supervision but work best with a fun partner. I am easily distracted and easily distract others. Can be trusted with scissors. I respectfully request a uniform with a re-enforced crotch gusset...this is non negotiable. Does your business allow for crazy hair days (like in elementary school) if not, you should consider this. Can I carry dog spray? Is there room for advancement, is there a possibility of becoming your boss? Can your employees sleep in the service truck? My last employment allowed catnaps, but never with the customers. I would be a valuable addition to your team, I will bring my expertise in interpersonal relationships, my foul mouth and glowing personality, my near sightedness and sturdy ladylike frame. Made some new friends yesterday. The boys at Rocksteady had a driveline failure between the diffs. While we couldn’t get driveline parts in town, we were able to get the truck moving so they could unload and head back to their base.
