Medals have arrived from the Korean Counsul Tournament. Winners can pick up tonight from 5:00-5:30, or arrange with Master Rennie for pick up.

Happy New Year to all our Taekwondo families! And to those of you that were able to make the Workout in the Snow, congratulations. We are trying to figure out how to judge the winners of the online contest, I think technology outsmarted our rules, as some posted videos, some multiple photos, some a single photo, so it is hard to add up the likes and views. ... I will be in touch with each of you that entered shortly to describe how we will determine the winner! The Premier is expected to announce plans on Monday January 11. Without knowing if the restrictions will be lifted or even eased, we have a few scenarios, and will announce them on Tuesday January 12th by email, on our website and on Facebook and Instagram. We anticipate one of three things, to start on Wednesday, January 13th: Classes resume as they were in September, same days and times. Or Classes will start out online by zoom, with two group classes per week, plus a 1 on 1 class online once per week with me, plus homework projects to keep you active. Or Classes will resume in person, but 1 on 1 plus some extra classes online including homework. We know we will figure this out together, and I promise no student will be left behind. TKD is all about momentum, whether that is momentum in a kick or punch, or in energy that your family has put into learning. Let’s keep the momentum going, and I can’t wait to see you in person or online January 13th and 14th!! Hi Everyone, Happy New Years! I am sure everyone is wondering what is happening with the program in 2021!... As we all know we are under increased restrictions until at least the 12th of January. We are hoping that on Monday Jan 11th that the Province will be lifting the current restrictions and at least allow us to return to where we were in September. We will be delaying starting up the 2021 program till at least Monday January 11th. This allows us to properly implement and prepare our online program in case we are unable to open up for restricted in person classes. For anyone who has registered/paid already for the upcoming session, you will be contacted ASAP with confirmations, I took the holidays off, but I am back at it today! People who have registered for the Homeschool (Online) program will receive information today on how their program will proceed moving forward with Master Rennie! Online Home School Program Whitecourt Taekwondo is proud to offer a nation-wide homeschool online program, starting January 11, 2021. Whitecourt Taekwondo (TKD) has offered Black Belt level instruction for over 40 years, and last year won the Canadian school of the Year from the World Taekwondo Federation.... Our home school classes already exist face to face, and we will now offer the same great program online. Our club operates in three month trimesters as follows: September-December January-March April-June Students will take a belt promotion test at the end of each trimester, if not sooner. Class times will be featured on Zoom, Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-2:45 pm, and the classes can be viewed at a later date on you tube, in case you miss a class. As well, each student will receive a 20 minute private class online with an instructor, to check on progress and provide further challenges. Each trimester costs $300 (that includes tax), and students will be couriered a customized uniform, belt and kicking target so that they can practice at home. Classes are tailored for a group exercise that will be challenging whether the student is 5 or 18 years old, and we encourage parents to take part too! This program is available to everyone, including existing Taekwondo students! Classes will be led by Master Jim Rennie, a 7th Degree Black Belt. Whitecourt Taekwondo is a member of the Alberta Taekwondo Association, Taekwondo Canada and the World Taekwondo Federation.
