"White Elephant" is an Official Selection of the 2020 Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival and will be having its first Opening Night Presentation on FRI, DEC 11 at 6:30PM PST / 9:30PM EST! A LIVE Online Q&A with Andrew and some of the Cast Members will follow the screening at 8PM PST / 11PM EST. It will be co-presented by Simon Fraser University and community sponsored by our fave, Vancouver Asian Film Festival. So here's yet another chance to catch our film! White Elephant screens next at the Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival! If you missed our film at our last festival, it will be available Canada-wide online from Dec 4 - 12 at MISAFF. We’re really excited about this one as it’s our first South Asian festival, and we can’t wait for South Asian audiences to see it. White Elephant took home the awards for BEST CANADIAN FEATURE FILM and PEOPLE’S CHOICE BEST OVERALL PERFORMANCE at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival, and we couldn’t be more excited about how well the film has been received. Thank you again to our cast and crew, and our partners Elegoa Cultural Productions, Varley Art Gallery, Canada Council for the Arts | Conseil des arts du Canada, and the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) for making this film a possibil...ity. As BIPOC filmmakers, these wins mean so much in a climate where our voices are proactively being suppressed. Sometimes it can mean the the difference between pushing harder and packing it all in.
