The Shelves are Looking Full here at the Food Bank, that is in large part to you Whitehorse, A huge thanks to all those who donated during the Food Drive this year, your efforts mean a lot to so many people. Aside from all the amazing people who donated there are a few folks we have to put a shout out to Thank you to the Whitehorse Teachers, the ones who every year give up there own time and volunteer to organize the Food Drive, this year we had to jump through hoops and chan...ge plans and still they came out in force... thank you so very very much! Thank you to all the students who delivered bags to everyone's houses, who helped load trucks and who made and held up signs reminding us that it was Food Drive, you folks are incredible and it warms our hearts that you help every single year Thank you to the Rendezvous Rotary Club of Whitehorse, Whitehorse Rendezvous Rotary Satellite Club, and the Rotary Club of Whitehorse. Your volunteers helping us sort bag and shelf the donations were a game changer and have helped us get the food out to folks who need it so much faster, your teams were a pleasure to work with and we offer our biggest and most humble appreciation to them. Thanks to the Food Bank Regulars who have come in and helped us as they always do, folding bags, stocking shelves and assuring the day to day jobs still get done throughout all the craziness, you are a force to be reckoned with and we are thankful each and every day that you keep coming in. Thanks to our Operations Manager Mike Massie, who has worked more hours then most of us can count keeping the warehouse humming along and greeting every new donation with a smile. Thanks to everyone who opted to donate via https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/m/7255/donation those donations are a huge help and go along way to assuring we have fresh produce and dairy that can go out to families in need. All in All we would count the Food Drive of 2020 a huge success, thanks one and all for being a part of it. Please stay happy, stay healthy, and as always, wash your hands #communityhelpingcommunity

There's a big change this year at the Schools of Whitehorse Annual Food Drive. Due to COVID-19, students will not be picking up bagged donations from doorsteps.... Instead, organizers want Whitehorse residents to drop off the bags at Elijah Smith, Porter Creek Secondary, Vanier Catholic Secondary, F.H.Collins, Wood Street School or the Whitehorse Foodbank until 8 pm tonight.
