Many anxious snowmobilers are already contacting the OFSC to ask what today’s Ontario announcement means for snowmobiling. Rest assured that no one wants to kno...w more than we do. But given that the government took 5 days to put their announcement together and that it hasn’t yet updated the supporting regulations, please be patient while we take the required time to assess what if any change may be needed to the message we’ve been delivering since the current shutdown started on Dec 26 - ride locally on available (Yellow or Green) OFSC trails within your public health region while following all public health measures. We’ll post our update as soon as the Province provides more clarity.

As you are aware, the OFSC is supporting provincial health unit guidelines regarding limiting travel between health unit areas. The Paudash trail system is at ...the junction of 3 health units: Peterborough, Haliburton/Kawartha/Pine Ridge, and Hastings and Prince Edward County. As a result, there are some trail segments that will remain unavailable/red during the provincial Covid-19 lockdown. For your information here they are: TOP E: from 611 (Eels Lake South) to E107 TOP E: from 618 (Silent Lake) to the boundary with Old Hastings Snowmobile Club at Rose Island Road E108: from 608 (Hadlington) to Buckhorn District Snowmobile Club trail 506 E109: from Elephant Lake Road to Maple Leaf Snow Skimmers 178 (Mink Lake trail) 612 (Baptiste Lake): from Cardiff to Baptiste Lake 613 (Deer Lake): from 612 to Deer Lake 614 (Rabbit): from 615 (Cardiff) to Rabbit Trail Road/Paudash Lake 618 (Silent Lake): from TOP E to Highway 28/Paudash Lake We have provided a visual of the trails to show which sections will remain closed.
