Dogs are so lovable, and full of unconditional love.
They can look so innocent and sweet.
Having humour is a must...lol
Before long spring will be here...
Yes, dogs and cats are our beautiful friends. Treat them with tender loving care and respect. The black kitty is my friend Trish's gorgeous Ebony, she was adopted with her mother Ivory a number of years ago. So we have Ebony and Ivory. We picked the two kitties up in Wasaga Beach a number of years ago. I saw the kitties a couple of weeks before Christmas. They were looking good and happy Mary Thrush! Please remember to bring Rover back indoors when you let them out to re...lieve themselves. Make sure you check feet often, snow and ice accumulates between toes and pads causing discomfort. We also lost a few precious pets this past year. Both of my son's lost a dear dog this past summer. Peter's family sadly lost Bella their beautiful German Shepherd, and Kurt's family are grieving the loss of Karma. Our dear friends Erik and Lynda mourn the loss of their precious beagle Lacey. And Patti and Dean were sad to loose their sweet Powder Kitty during the past Christmas holidays. Pet Chaplain would like to express our deepest condolences to all the above families. Your pets have crossed over Rainbow Bridge. No more pain, illness, or discomfort. They play all day....and they also look forward to a day when they are reunited with their families. In the mean time they will play in the meadow at Rainbow Bridge.

It's the first day of 2019, Happy New Year to those who have the privilege and honour of being a pet guardian. May your year be blessed, healthy, and wonderful. To those who have lost a pet this year, my heart goes out to you. Loosing your pet I know has been painful for you and your family. Adjusting to a new way of doing things around the house without your beloved pet is challenging. Things will improve, but give it time.... Allow the blessings to pour into your heart. There are good things happening here. You will never forget the dear one you lost. His and her memories with you will live on. Happy New Year to you and your beautiful pets.

This is my dog, Bandit. He was a fabulous Siberian Husky with blue eyes. He as a rescue from West Hill. He loved to sit in the kitchen when I was baking. If I told him 'buttertarts' he'd sit in front of the oven door and wait for them to come out. This picture was probably taken in 1987. Bandit was a good watch dog (people thought). Hello, come on in, I'll show you where the good stuff is!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
We did a very meaningful ceremony this morning in Dwight at Patti and Dean's farm. Today is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi the patron saint of the animals and ecology. Lorne took the pictures. The donkeys charmed right up to us, and when that happened, the alpacas didn't want to be left out. We have identified the animals to the best of my ability. They were a lot of fun to be around. The weather cooperated, and a great morning was had by all.... There's dialog from chicken number 1, who was chosen to tell you the story about the blessing. The chickens are named #1, #2,. -#5 etc . A couple of the pets thought they could have done a better job, but that's because they only got blessed and not asked to tell the story, oh well next year, someone else tells the story! If you would like your pets or animals blessed, use the petchaplain.ca form on the website.
