What's Happening Mattawa

Today would have been Adam’s 26th birthday. For more than 20 years, we’ve been fighting to make sure no other family or community has to go through what we did ...in February 2000. We remember and honour Adam today as we finally launch the BusPatrol school bus stop-arm camera program! Watch the live virtual launch event featuring FordNation, Victor Fedeli, Mayor Backer and Mayor McDonald, the OPP and BusPatrol CEO Jean Souliere, in celebration of this monumental launch. ------ School buses in Mattawa will return to roads SAFER and SMARTER thanks to a new school bus safety program. Mattawa school buses have been equipped with advanced safety technology including stop-arm cameras. This will help make students’ commute to and from school safer. We have been working hard to make this a reality for a long time and we are honoured that our hometown of Mattawa will be the first municipality in Ontario to launch this program! Thank you to everyone who has supported our campaign through education, sharing videos and petitions or signing letters of support.
