A dear friend asked me what confidence meant to me. Upon reflection, I shared that I relate confidence to knowing and embodying my truth, literally feeling it ...in my physical body, having a sense of safety from this embodied state. It allows me to fully enjoy my own company, to show up authentically for myself and my loved ones, and to allow myself to experience my world as I am meant to; with curiosity and playfulness. Confidence allows me to live my life fully aligned to my soul purpose. These are my painted river stones. I call them channeled art. Each piece is created as an expression of my higher self and carries a 4th chakra vibration of love.
2020 has been a year of expansion for me personally and professionally. It was damn uncomfortable at times, and there were days when I was brought to my knees in complete despair as I watched and FELT so much unravel in the collective consciousness. Embodying my sovereignty has been the greatest gift of 2020. I am awake, aware and living in my heart as I continue to remember more every day WHY I chose to incarnate at this time. #ascension #lovinglife #livingyourpurpose #embodiment

Sharing for those who feel guided to listen, with your heart open and your mind thinking critically. It’s not about fighting against the systems in place, but creating a new one that honours our sovereignty and the sovereignty of all life. Love and Light, Anne-Marie
its for your soul
"The water is sacred. The air is sacred. Our DNA is made of the same DNA as the tree. The tree breathes what we exhale. When the tree exhales we need what the t...ree exhales, so we have a common destiny with the tree We are all from the Earth. And when the Earth & atmosphere is corrupted, then it will create its own reaction. Our mother is reacting" Floyd "Red Crow" Westerman We Are All One (Native American Prophecy) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWtVTu6S51M#t=11 Image: Ego vs. Eco: Generated by J. Gonzalez Cruz & L. J. Lucero. It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. We are made to live together because of the interrelated structure of reality. Martin Luther King, Jr. All Life is Interrelated - Martin Luther King, Jr. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zD0qHUAiwo&t=7s I think the difficulty is this fragmentation. All thought is broken up into bits. Like this nation, this country, this industry, this profession and so on And they can’t meet. Wholeness is a kind of attitude or approach to the whole of life. If we can have a coherent approach to reality then reality will respond coherently to us. ~David Bohm, physicist Wholeness & Fragmentation - David Bohm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfHzfonAgX4&t=7s A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. ~Albert Einstein Related: How Wisdom Grows: Educating Hearts & Minds https://creativesystemsthinking.wordpress.com//how-wisdom/
Legs up the wall - your body will thank you!
Your presence and skillful touch has the capacity to create deep change in another human being. In the dynamic of relational touch, there is the potential for n...ew feelings, new stories and new meanings to arise. Truth emerges as a shared story between client and therapist, informed by phenomena of being within a sensitive organism. Human beings are polyrhythmic, and we are always striving for health and coherence. With the support of skilled touch, the rhythms in the body can sometimes coalesce into a feeling of wholeness and health. How does actually this happen? I recommend using embodied presence supported by skillful touch in the following ways; Use non-doing, ‘relational touch’, that listens without fixed agendas and supports coherent rhythms and order to emerge. - Focus on creating safety and be cautious of over projecting. We can have perceptions of other people, but we can wildly over interpret what we feel. In the absence of the possibility of objective knowing, it is good to be super cautious. Truth emerges in the dynamic between the client and therapist. - Aim to generate concepts that promote health and sensations of joy, ease and agency and focus on stories of safety and agency. Expand people’s ‘felt sense’ capabilities. Try shifting the narrative of self away from limiting metaphors of damage and permanency to adaptability and renewal. - Consider the whole person and the totality of their story. From pre and perinatal experiences, to adverse childhood events, to being embedded in oppressive and unequal power structures in society and culture. This supports people to self-regulate and develop resilience in the face of a morass of intense, and often overwhelming, feelings, drives and behaviours.
Yesterday was Dr. Mikao Usuis birthday (1865-1926). I am honouring all of my teachers and my own students who have trusted me to initiate them to Reiki. As I worked with a student yesterday, calling in my and her Guides, Ascended Masters and Beings of Love and Light, I was overjoyed to see Dr. Usui, the founder of the Usui system of healing, assist with the session. It was incredibly powerful and humbling. His legacy lives on as he continues to support all of us from a different realm. Happy Birthday Dr. Usui Anne-Marie Pitre

If what you have been doing for years is not working, try something different, get help to find your creativity. Don’t focus on only one element of the biopsych...osocial model. Explore widely to find your danger messages and thought viruses. Do include poverty, racism, sexism, social injustice, in all its forms, when appreciating the loads you are carrying.
Being calm is one of the most misunderstood parts of regulation. Being calm is not the point- learning how to stay mindfully connected to ourselves in the mi...dst of the internal activation we experience is the the goal of learning how to regulate. When we put more value on being calm, we not only send a message that the other emotional states inside us are not as good setting ourselves up to feel guilt and shame when they arise or when being calm is a struggle, but we also set the stage to inadvertently bypass the most important part of the regulation experience- Learning how to mindfully be with all aspects of our human experience.

Freezing is a form of immobilisation. Its one of the last ditch strategies we have in the face of overwhelming threat. Its the sense of a loss of relationship... to the body, where endorphins flood the spinal cord, and there is a cutting off from feeling. Often peoples bodies can go stiff in this stage (especially in the hands and feet), or conversely they can go very flacid either way theres an altered sense of the body. You might feel cold or tingling or numb. Often the perception of your body shape changes, such as very small, far away feet, or big hands, or your belly disappears. If this happens when you're practising a trauma healing process such as Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE), its important to take a break from the exercise. Self-regulate and ground yourself and try again another day.

This beautiful sunset reminds me to stop, breathe, and settle into a knowingness that despite all of the chaos I see unraveling at this time, I am ok. Remember that we are all higher dimensional light beings in human form

The psychology of trauma is complex. The physiology of trauma is relatively simple. That's why TRE Trauma Releasing Exercises - a simple self regulation tool ...to help you feel more connected and safe - can help you learn how to ground yourself and switch off the over-protective reflexes that come with trauma. I've recently taken all my TRE trainings online, you can find out more about joining an online intro day, learning how to use TRE for yourself, or completing the practitioner training here: https://trecollege.com/certification/

In this video, I explore the science around how we can learn to manage intense feelings, and how this can help us to have less pain, less anxiety and even to come out of inflammatory states: https://bodycollege.net/mind-the-gap-emotions-and-the-body/
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy uses a gentle touch, presence and knowledge of the body map to release tensions in the central nervous system, allowing it to settle and self-regulate. Health and wholeness emerge. It is quite simply the most gentle and effective therapy I know for treating a myriad of conditions. Health and Wholeness

I wrote the attached article after a recent distance session with a friend/colleague. Its about a 10 minute read. https://lnkd.in/gBqfx29 Hope you enjoy and please do share and comment if it resonates. Id love to hear your feedback. Anne-Marie

Decisions, Decisions.
I woke up this morning thinking about my Dad, then as I grew more awake I realized that today is the anniversary of his passing, and as I looked at the time I was not surprised to see that it was at this time that we were saying our goodbyes, assuring him of our love, acknowledging his love for us and promising him that we would look after our Mom 13 years ago today. I am thankful for the healing that has happened in my heart since that day. ... I love you Dad. Anne-Marie xoxo
