The Senior’s Walking program planned for this Tuesday will be cancelled as the community continues to grieve. It is hoped that we will resume the program mid-January once we feel there is no presence of Covid within the local area as a result of any holiday travel.

The Senior’s Walking Program and Jam are both cancelled for tomorrow.

Thank you so much for purchasing tickets for the Christmas basket and for the vendors who donated their products. We drew the winning ticket today following Santa and Mrs Claus’s visit and Elizabeth Matheson won the basket. Between the basket, and donations from the parents today as they visited Santa, we have an additional $1100 to present to the Whycocomagh Education Centre for their Breakfast/Snack program. Your support and Christmas Spirit is greatly appreciated!!

If you missed seeing Santa and Mrs Claus, they will be back across from the Presbyterian church tonight from 5:30 to 6:30 for the Drive By Lion’s Club Tree Light Up. This will be followed by the L’Arche Drive By Bethlehem. The Committee is still accepting photos of your Christmas displays for a chance to win $100. Come out and support the local businesses, some of which are having specials today.

Santa and Mrs Claus have arrived in Whycocomagh for Christmas in the Village. Glad they were able to get through the construction safely with their sleigh!!

We are all set for a social distancing visit with Santa and Mrs Claus as part of Christmas in the Village. Families will be pleased to see 2020 behind them, but still important to offer a chance to have your child’s photo taken in a Santa scene, to look back upon in years to come.
